Thursday Project for LC Designs

Today I am showing you my Thursday Project for LC Designs

I am spotlighting something old and something new!!

Something Old

First I want to share with you a journalling page - the background involves layers of mister spray, color burst powder, distress inks and some Irresistible images.
But on top there are images from the very first Little Claire stamp set I bought!
These butterflies and sentiments were stamped on wrinkle free distressed card and distressed around the edges with 'Mowed Lawn'.

But now for something new...

This little robin stamp has now been released on the website...
I have used it to make two different cards...

First the Mini scalloped card blanks were matted with Mini papers (currently on sale!!)

I embossed the image using Versamark and red embossing powder. I then used Distress Inks as watercolour to paint the robins...

I then cut them out with nesting dies. For the sentiments - the first was the sentiment that came with the robin, the second I printed on the computer - and i edged these with a border die.

Two cute little cards!

LC Designs New Challenge

Today a new stamping Challenge starts at LC Designs (Little Claire) !!

This month's theme is:

BUTTERFLIES

And the prize on offer for this month's lucky random winner is:

My inspiration for you today is a card starting with a scalloped card base.
I used two LC Designs Papers:
A floating butterfly - just the right size to fit in a 6 by 6 card.
I cut a circle from the centre of the butterfly paper and used that to diecut some butterflies. I filled that hole with the dot paper cut with a scalloped circle die - and use more of that to die cut more butterflies (using SU's Beautiful Wings)

On the top of this I put Wavy Hedgehogs stamped with 'Old Moss' and die cut with a nesting die. I then added all the butterflies.

My inspiration for you today is a set of dinkie cards
featuring the tiny 'dinkie' scallopped card blanks
available from LC Designs
and various LC Designs Papers.

I have used four different 'Dinkie' stamps -

 and 'Rain Hogs'

I used Promarkers and a little glitter to colour the images. I printed the sentiments on the computer and matted them on scraps of card from my stash.

Thursday Blog Project for LC Designs - little Easter treat box

Today I am showing you my Thursday Project for LC Designs

I am spotlighting

Here is my project - a little Easter gift box

Instructions

This can be made with just one piece of A4 card, a piece of ribbon, 2 irresistible images, two buttons and your favourite stamp and ink pad...

With the card longest side along your scoreboard, score the sheet of card at 2, 5, 7 and 10 inches.Turn the card and score at 1, 3 and 7 inches.

The ares with scribble on will be discarded.

Take your favourite stamp and ink pad - I used 'Almost Amethyst' and a little stamp from one of my LC Designs Sets - and stamp randomly over the card.

Remove the excess pieces of card, cut the slits along the bottom, use a corner rounder on the top flap, cut small triangles of the edge flap and you should end up with this:

Assemble the box , glueing together the sides and the bottom. for the bottom, first fold in the small flaps, then the large ones. Punch two holes in the top flap, mark where they match the box with a pencil and make holes in the box side:

Place the images on front and back - and I added butterfly buttons.
Thread a ribbon through the holes and tie...

Fill it up with some treats for Easter!!

The card base is a square white pearlescent one matted with a paper from LCDesigns.
I added small tags in orange and blue stamped with 'Happy 'I Do' Day' - a stamp also from LCDesigns and attached with some white ribbons.
The butterflies are cut using a Cheery Lynn die and the final touch was three orange buttons.

LC Designs Challenge

Today a new stamping Challenge starts at LC Designs / Little Claire !!

The prize on offer is...

WOW!

This Challenge has the theme "Anything Goes"

I have used the Wavy Baby Stamp Set to make 3 cards...

I used pearlescent card blanks with circles/ovals of LC Designs Papers. I stamped wavy baby on these and also on extra pearlescent card. My idea was that the wavy line was a washing line - I attached twine to it and punched shapes from the stamped card  to add with dimensionals.
I then added pegs...

Butterfly Challenge

Just read that Mrs A at the Butterfly Challenge
has reached the 2 years mark! Congratulations!

Thought I would like to enter the current challenge although there are only hours to go...

with this paint chip...

I also spotted this sketch at i {heart} card sketches and decided to combine the two...

So first of all I went to my 'blues' scrap folder and came up with a few possible pieces...

My card started with a square white pearlescent card blank
and the following triptych - the three parts from a screenprint...with added twine.

I  then stamped the butterfly with Versafine on another blue scrap and added some blue Promarker.
The stamp is from LC Designs Butterfly Flourish.
I used a circular die to cut out the buttefly overlapping the tips of the wings, and then mounted it on another circle.

Finally I added a die cut butterfly - KCK KUTZ fluttering Butterfly
and some "sapphires"!
Inside it has this sentiment from the same stamp set:

I will link this to the
