WOYWW #868

Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #868
Here is my workdesk:

Not a lot to see - a few stencils that need putting away - as we have been away for a few days.

This was the third page in my year-long challenge. I was pleased to see a couple of you had investigated it...This page had the prompt A little ray of sunshine with the weekly focus glitter, embossing powder, stickles.
I used an Art by Marlene sun stamp and Tracy Scott's butterfly.

Yesterday I got up early to join the UKSN Zoom craft and chat. Sheila led a workshop which was a challenge to use 6 items that might be on your desk. My desk is covered in 'Alice' paraphenalia so I ended up making this little mini-folio, including a little notebook:

So we went away - the first day we took the ferry from Sorrento to Queenscliff and had a look around there and Geelong.

The next day we were off to the open range zoo/safari park at Werribee:

Next up to Melbourne where we saw Saturday Night Fever.

Then on Monday Sophie and I went to the Australian Open and saw a couple of matches.

We arrived home to find the high winds had caused some damage to the garden:

But a wander around the Australian Garden found that unscathed.

Today we had Ollie so we visited a Sculpture park - this giant gnome is one of my favourites.

Sophie went looking for the Aurora last night and sent me this picture... we could see nothing here at home!

Happy WOYWW! I hope to get around all of you this week...

  1. I love that Little Ray of Sunshine piece, it’s so happy and lovely and I love the sentiment too! Glad you’ve been having a good time out and about….I think John Travolta should be worried with moves like that!!

  4. I love your ray of sunshine post. There were some Kent photos of the aurora but here it was too cloudy.
How wonderful that you saw tennis at the AO, I’ve been to Wimbledon a couple of times but not recently.
There was a Rick Stein programme on last night where he talked about big Australian statues like the big banana and prawn.
    Happy WOYWW

  5. Aw, there's nothing not like about your Ray of sunshine, the text is great! You did get up early.. in such cases I would say that it pays to have a desk with leftovers on it - that early in the day you wouldn't want to be getting stuff out and thinking too hard! Sounds like youve had a fab rad trip - bet Saturday Night Fever was fun. I love the gnome, he stays beautifully shiny!!
