Red

Moving on from my card of yesterday...

I started with a perfect pair of heart stamps on my Fiskars stamping press.
I stamped these on to the right side of a square blank card base
 with Jenni Bowlin's 'cough syrup'.

I masked a strip to the left using large post-it notes and then applied 'spun sugar'
 and 'worn lipstick' Distress ink.
I overstamped with the heart pairs again making 3 more 'part pairs'.
I removed the masks and resulted in the above - a perfect CAS card!

Saturday Crafting

Today has been tags and ATC's!

First I made this ATC for

The theme was Aquarius - I hope I have got the constellation vaguely right!!
I started with some aqua DP followed by starry paper from The Rockstar Mat Pad from DCWV.
I added wings and 'watery' coloured embellishments.

I then found this colour combination over at Chromatic Craze - Challenge 7

I thought my piece of 'food colouring and shaving foam' background had similar colours...

I used it to make this Vintage tag  - the backing green card brings out the green in the foreground but maybe the browns become to look more pink?

The stamp is a Papermania Tall Urban Stamp.

Left Of Centre New Challenge

Left of Center has a new challenge starting today!
 As it's February 14th - it is a Valentine - but with a twist!!
The subject is Demon Lovers!!

I started off with an image from one of my Teamies - Eileen.
I printed this out on white card and coloured it with Promarkers.

I started by matting my grey card base with a piece of card from The DCWV Rockstar Mat Stack
I cut out my image and attached him - and then added some bones!!

I still felt it needed a little more - I had the gold disc with face in my bit box - so I used that with some suspended 'voodoo beads'...

This is the final card...what do you think?

Get Inky! Use Bleach!

The Get Inky Team were challenged to use BLEACH in the new Challenge over at
You can give this a go or maybe look at the other part of the challenge...

I made a stamping pad using a folded wet wipe on a glass dish
with a few drops of household bleach added.
I chose a variety of papers and a couple of stamps from Get Inky! Stamps
and produced a few backgrounds - some papers worked better than others...

I decided to use the light brown cardstock which had bleached cream with the moon stamp.

I used digis from Get Inky! for the sentiments and rocket - and matted and layered with some craft paper!
Then there was just a little gold promarker, glitter and bling to finish!

I am submitting this to
Treasured Times Challenge 11 - layers
Through the Purple Haze - anything goes
Polka Doodles - anything goes

Delicious Doodles Digis

I like to use stamps of all sorts and have many!
Digis, however, are by far the easiest way of me getting new stamps at the moment,
as I moved to India about 3 months ago.
I have had some stamps through the post but a few have taken a long time!

So how do I use them?

Well... just before Christmas I used the Delicious Doodles 'Celtic Xmas Tree' for a series of cards:

  • Top left - I just printed the tree on white card and coloured with a Promarker to match the card base. I distressed the edges of the image and added a button and bow to finish.
  • Top right - This time I printed on DP with no colouring.
  • Bottom left - I printed on DP but then coloured with a Promarker
  • Bottom right - this time I printed on one of my 'food colouring and shaving foam' backgrounds and added glitter glue to the tree - I added a Bugaboo image to finish.
But now on to two cards I have made today...
I also like to print an image several times and 'paper piece' to add colour and dimension.
This next card uses Delicious Doodles 'Poorly Moo'.

I also have a little 'dark' side - my final example uses 'Bah Humbug Tree'

I quite like CAS 'Less is More' cards - here I have merely printed the image and sentiment on gold paper. I matted both on to navy blue cardstock before attaching to a beige card base.
The embellishments - I just added three pearls and two skull beads,
threaded and tied around the sentiment element.

I am linking this last card to
12 Days of Christmas
and CHNC February extra

 Hope you like them...
