Starting with a brown card blank I matted it with a polka dot paper from my stash.
I cut out the image and two more polka dots with a nesting die and then layered them up.

Do take time to hop through the list - there are some brilliant projects to inspire you!

You may know that I only arrived back from holiday a week ago -
this time Australia then Bali - we had a brilliant time!

Anyway while we were away we completed on the sale of our new home
and so collected the keys when we got back last Wednesday.
Since then we have moved!!

We are beginning to get organised -
but you probably realise that crafting has not been top priority!!

Please bear with me ... I have only made a couple of small ATCs this time...

First I am going to remind you of a previous make ...

I have always been fond of Steampunk...you will see Steampunk items regularly on my blog...A recent project used
Brass The Steampunk Reindeer from Smeared Ink - and I am going to show you this before I move onto the new creations...

I started by making an ATC from an embossed 3.5 x 2.5 in. rectangle
with tea dye distress ink to bring out the embossing.

I masked the image with two sides of a ripped piece of paper and added colour between,
using tea dye and festive berries distress ink. I added tea dye around the image too.
I then added some cogs and gems, and finally red liquid pearls to the reindeer's nose.

This then became a feature on my main card:

I used the same process with the larger image, this time matted onto black embossed paper.
Finally I added wooden 'Happy's, also coloured with tea dye distress ink.

Today I decided to use 'Brass' again and a stamped steampunk horse... but with a totally different colour scheme:
First I used some Smeared ink digital paper to make my bases and matted them with a clock stamp printed using a homemade ink pad using various re-inkers.

Next I cut out my images and coloured them with Promarkers and matted them on some brown DP.

After assembling the ATCs I added some metal embellishments from my stash.

Now back to unpacking...

Ikes World Challenge #46

Today I would like to show you my make for Ike's World Challenges!

The current Challenge (#46) is "One for the Men"...and this is my midway post...

I used the 'Temptress' image from Ike (which was a freebie here- coloured with Promarkers.

I started with a white card base matted with red card. On this I layered a rectangle of DP from Graphic 45 'An Eerie Tale' distressed with Scattered Twigs.
The image and sentiment were cut with nesting dies
and distressed with the same distress ink.
Finally I added a diecut - cut from the same red card.

I hope you will join in the Challenge over at Ike's World

Happy Crafting!

Crafting from the Heart New Challenge!

Moving on to our next  CHALLENGE "always anything goes"

We have a great sponsor for you...

I have a set of four easel ATCs for you today using Chance of Showers

To start off I made four ATCs using a combination of the pre-coloured images, embellishing them with bows, brads and pearls, and matting them on pink card.

I then made stands to make them into easels, using pink card cut into strips 2.5 by 7inches score at the half and quarter way marks.

I added scraps of DP to the bases topped with hearts punched from the pink card to make the stands. I adhered the sentiments to these.

Look forward to seeing your makes at Crafting from the Heart!

SLS Challenge for September

Today another Challenge starts at SLSLines...Monochrome

and here's the Monster in a Teacup image I used for my DT makes...coloured in three different colourways of Promarkers.

I decided to make easel ATCs...

Using snippets from my scraps I made three ATCs using the images, buttons and tiny wobbly eyes.

I then added an easel for each ATC using matching card and papers. To make the easel props I printed sentiments on the computer.

This easel was made using a card 2.5 by 7 inches scored at the quarter and  half way marks.

In the above the easel was formed using a 3.5 by 5 inch piece of card, scored at the halfway and quarter way along ...in the following another 3.5 by 5 inch piece of card scored in half and then a diagonal across one half.

Three little easel ATCs!!

Happy Crafting!!
