House of Cards April Challenge

This is my latest make for the Design Team of House of Cards

April Challenge: Use feathers and/or the Color Palette!

Here's my card:

I started with a kraft card base and added a piece of hand-made wood effect paper. I was shown how to do this at the crafty retreat I attended a week or so ago. Take a piece of textured card, score it vertically at random points across the width. Drip a 'school glue' onto the ridges also randomly and brush it out. When dry, wipe distress ink (I used 'Peacock Feathers') in the direction of the lines, directly from the ink pad.

I then stamped a feather - from Darkroom Doors Feathers - on some cream card, again using 'Peacock Feathers' and cut this out with a Sizzix Tag die, finishing the edges with 'Brushed Corduroy'. I added some twine and fixed this in place.
I printed the sentiment on the computer on the same cream card, die cut it with a stitched rectangle and added 'Brushed Corduroy' to this.
Having attached the sentiment I added three die cut feathers to which I had added 'Peacock Feathers'.

Hope you will join in the Challenge!

Happy Crafting!
