The new Challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More has the above Photo Inspiration.
To make my background I wanted a leaf-shaped design - so I used a Craftstash 'Leaves' stencil. I dabbed Versamark watermark ink through the stencil and added a pink embossing powder and heat set this.
I then die cut butterflies from this using some Stampin Up dies.
I added a blue Distress Ink to the butterflies (still in the dies so that a white rim remains). I added an orange Distress Ink to the remainder of the background, with the blue ink distressing the edges. I added the background to some blue card, replacing the butterflies in their spaces, on a Kraft card base.
Finally I stamped the butterfly and 'Just For You' with archival ink -
stamps from Happy Little Stampers 'Butterfly Birthday'.
