Tis the Season Day 24, December 1st

            

Once again Leigh is hosting a "stay crafty @ home" Blog Hop to help keep our spirits high, creatively inspired and busy while celebrating the season safe at home during this terrible pandemic!
This is a 2 month long hop to celebrate Fall/Autumn, Winter, Christmas and Craftmas and the hop ends December 20 at 11:55pm pacific!

Today is December 1st and the first day of Summer here in Australia -
so what better than a picture of the sun?


This is based on Modhubani Art as demonstrated by Bandana Agarwal in a workshop with the London Drawing Group.


I started by painting my page with turmeric and then drew the design using red and black pens.

    Did you use the spice for the background color? I want to try making some dyes with spices and teas. Happy Summer! We have summer days still where I live with some delightfully cooler days in between rains :) Wonderful journal page!

      Yes I just put some turmeric in water and used it as a wash. Have also done ecopaper with tea and coffee, beetroot etc...but not recently.
