Wow Susan you certainly saw some fabulous sights while you were away. Glad you were able to get a change of scenery. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3
ReplyDeleteLovely to get away for a few days, and my word, that really is art on a scale, those Silo paintings are incredible! I wonder who they are, these people immortalised in er, HUGE! love your wanderlust page, I know it will be very different when finished, so I hope you’re enjoying each stage as a separate piece!
ReplyDeleteMorning Susan. Wow! What art!! And what fun to paint them onto great big silos! Makes a drive much more interesting. Glad you got a few days away - oh how I am looking forward to the thought! I have not been anywhere since last March - 2 days out to meet my entire family, 1 day to meet my elder daughter, and 1 day because I just HAD to go see my beloved mountains - and that's it. Oh well - I have my photos to gaze at...
ReplyDeleteLove those pages - they look like someone has been blowing bubbles.
Take care. God bless.

Love your double page spread - the flowers remind me of lupins and delphiniums, gorgeous colours! How interesting to see the silo art, what a truly fab idea making the best of something that’s usually so dull and boring! Hope you have a good trip.

Super floral page! I love Laly's work but I can't quite imitate her style, no matter how hard I try. It's lovely that you can travel around - thanks for the virtual tour - it's a glimpse of the outside world for those of us in lockdown on the other side of the globe! Enjoy your summer freedom! xx zsuzsa #18
ReplyDeleteHow fab you got away for a bit. Great pics. Heken #4

ReplyDeleteLove the scenery, true, but the page is the star for me. Wanderlust indeed - if only we could get out and about!
ReplyDeleteSome day...
Susan, your floral spread is moving on and really like what you have going on there! LOVE your photos and what amazing beauty! The waterfall looks spectacular and can we just talk about that AWESOME view! Oh my goodness so beautiful! Hope you had a good trip! Blessings and be safe! Felicia #27
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, that waterfall is amazing. I bet the waterfalls in Snowdon are amazing at the moment with all the rain we have had. The bottom of the road is flooded today and a river of water coming down past my son’s house. He has just shown me a video of his back garden, absolutely flooded. Thankfully his house is safe. Have a great week Angela #6
ReplyDeleteWow, Susan, that silo art is astonishing! I can't imagine how they did it. The scenery is stunning. When I was a child I read a lovely book set in Australia and they described the Aboriginal hand print art and it fascinated me from that day forward. I've always loved Australia since reading that book but I have to visit in my imagination because I know I shall never actually get there! Your journal page is quite beautiful, really.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment and I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit. My hubby does make me laugh! Sometimes I laugh at him and he gets cross, which only makes me laugh more!! I can't wait to complete the kitty throw and give it to him.
Happy WOYWW,

Happy WOYWW. Thank you for sharing the photos of your wonderful trip. I have become almost agoraphobic - quite happy to stay on the farm. It will be a long time before we can travel in the UK. Ali x. #26
ReplyDeleteFantastic ~ I didn't know people painted on silo's but why not! What a fantastic backdrop ~ I'm glad you got to get away, and your spread is coming along beautifully! Love, Karen #33

How fantastic that Silo |Art Trail must be - how many installations are there? How nice to be able to get away, we cannot even travel to a park by car to walk, got to be on foot all the way and close to home.
ReplyDeleteStay Safe & Well, Hugs, Neet 5 xx

Hi Susan, happy belated WOYWW - what a fabulous idea for the silos - so much better than some of the rusty ones I have seen on my travels! Oh, I wish we had waterfalls like that near me- my hubby would love to take photos like that! Have a lovely week, Heather xx
ReplyDeleteThose silo painting are fabulous! Glad you were able to get away, and sunshine to boot! Today we have the first sun we've had in 14 days, but as it is -14° outside, no travelling for us! But what a great idea to go somewhere fairly local and stay at a hotel for a night.
ReplyDeleteYour page is looking fab, I love all the flowers!
Have a wonderful week! Lindart #29
