Beccy's Place: A Month of Holiday Cards Challenge - O

This is another card for

Beccy's Place: A Month Of Holiday Cards Challenge

 - which is now in its 12th year!

This card follows the O prompt - Day 17

Well, I would call them Christmas ornaments
 - or decorations.
I have a small box of ornaments passed on from my Mum which has a note saying the decorations date back from the late 1800s.

If you google bauble (UK)
a small, showy trinket or decoration.
and
What do Americans call a bauble?
a ball-shaped Christmas decoration for hanging on a tree.

Anyway I am going for ornament!

This card is based on a Tracy Evans workshop, from a recent virtual retreat with
HillBilly Scrappin'. It involves an ornament shape (Tracy Evans' bauble stencil/mask) and various stamps, Distress Oxide, Versafine Clair and Archival inks.

I managed to go a bit overboard with the splatters!
After some penwork and shading all I had to do was add a sentiment.
This one from Beccy's  Christmas Cardinals, was to hand...

I will add this to the challenge

Happy Crafting!

  1. Your ornaments look fabulous Susan, you've done a great job with the colouring! It's always wonderful to see lots of inky techniques on a card... I really should do more myself. Love the combo of bright green and grey holly!
    Cheers,
    Beccy
