New Challenge at Creative Fingers

A new Challenge starts today at Creative Fingers

Always Anything Goes!

This time we are sponsored by Lemon Shortbread

I chose to use this delightful image Toadstool Hat Fairy Pixie

I used Promarkers to colour her in autumnal colours...and matted on brown.

I decided to make an easel card...starting with a square Kraft card base.

I found some SU paper in my stash to cover the bottom square, easel square
and stand rectangle, with additional brown card behind the easel and stand.
Finally I added some burlap flowers

Hope you will join the Challenge!

Smeared and Smudged May Blog Hop!!

YES!! It's time for another Smeared and Smudged BLOG HOP!!

That's the list - do have a look at everyone's amazing creations - you should have arrived here from Tit and next stop is Maureen - but if you have arrived here by chance, you might want to start from the beginning with Black Dragon

So what did I make for this?

Well - I hadn't done a 6 by 6 fat page for a while so that's what it is...with a fantasy theme.
I decided to use my favourite technique of the moment to start.

I covered my chipboard with pieces of embossed card and die-cut shapes - attached with Mod Podge Glue and Sealer.

I then painted it all over with black gesso and then added Inka Gold Aquamarine -
I do love the smell of this!!

Next I added a digi image Honey coloured with Promarkers

Then a few embellishments..

The finished project...

Thursday Digi Project for Little Claire

This is my special Thursday Digi Project for Little Claire!!

Look at this gorgeous image - digi Splishing and Splashing

I printed it with a view to adding it to one of the Dinkie Scallop cards

However I decided to make a slightly bigger card 4.5 inches square...using a handmade paper card blank that I picked up while I was living in Mumbai.

Using papers from my scraps I cut three pieces to mat and layer followed by my image, die cut with a square scalloped nesting die. I coloured the image with Promarkers - just red, powder blue, cool greys 3 and 4, and caramel.

The sentiment is another Little Claire stamp - this time a 'rubber' one - stamped with Versafine and just a little colour added. Again I used a nesting die to cut the mount.

Just a very simple card!

Do have a look at Little Claire to see the whole set of digi's!

Create and Inspire New Challenge

Today another challenge starts at Create and Inspire

The theme is Anything Goes and it's sponsored by

Stitchy Bear

and Sassy Studio

I have two makes for you today - firstly a trio of ATCs

I have used Antsy Ant printed on white, grey and green to paper-piece the image together.
The base of each ATC - a grey rectangle matted with green cobweb embossed paper.

Having trimmed each image I distressed around the edges with Shabby Shutters,

I added a spider (Viva Las Vegas Stamp with Versafine).

Finally I added googly eyes and some gems.

My second make uses Sassy Studio's Rapunzel

The image was coloured with Promarkers and placed behind an oval aperture cut with a nesting die. The white card base was matted with some DP from my stash, distressed with Rusty Hinge. The image was then added with a ribbon embellishment and a little Claire button sentiment, stamped and punched out.

Do go over to Create and Inspire

and see the other fabulous DT makes.
I look forward to seeing your creations!

Happy Crafting!

Sketch~N~Scrap NEW Card Sketch

A new card sketch has been posted at Sketch~N~Scrap today!
Why not have a go and link up your make?

This is the sketch:

Here is my card:

To make this I started with a cream card base matted with so DP from my scraps and distressed around the edges with Wild Honey.
To make the next layer I used the 'emboss resist' technique. I used a background stamp - friendship - inked up with Versamark, stamped onto white card and then embossed with clear embossing powder.
I die cut the butterfly and candle tag from this before adding any colour. I used various Distress Inks to create the background, candle and butterfly. Another piece of DP from my scraps was used to make the banners placed under the candle and butterfly.

But of course this month is Sketch~N ~Scrap's 3rd Birthday Month
so there's a Challenge every day...

and in particular there is MY Challenge using the following layout...

and/or this card sketch -

More details in Part 1 and Part 2!
Part 3 is coming soon...
I would love to see your creation in my linky here
