St Patrick's Day celebrates the life of a bishop from the fourth century, who then became the Patron Saint of Irish. The day is celebrated on 17 March as this marks the death of the saint in 461. The day began as a feast day to mark St Patrick's Day in the 17th century and then became a national holiday in the Republic of Ireland in 1903.

St Patrick's Day is celebrated across the Republic of Ireland and the rest of the world by wearing the symbolic colour of the day, green, eating traditional Irish food and drinking Irish stout. The Irish symbol of the shamrock is often also worn on the day.

You may have noticed I have made quite a few St. Pat's Day items this year...some I made different versions of...

I made more cards using LeighSB Designs leprechauns - this time using a Vera Lane sentiment:

I made a second slider card - much the same as a week ago using the Craftstash gnomes and embossing folder:

And to finish off the run, I have an ATC using Vera Lane's Irish Luck

A green card base layered with a DP from my stash, with ribbon wrapped around.
I coloured the image with Promarkers and cut her out.
I distressed the sentiment with 'mowed lawn' and added this, the image and a couple of feathers.

Happy March 17th and Happy Crafting!

    Fun when their heads
    are upside down.
    the little lady with
    the shamrock in her
