25 Tags of Christmas Tag #1

I have only just come across this - but it sounds like a pretty good idea to join in - and get my Christmas tags done at the same time!!

It is hosted by Tracey McNeely and you will find the main hop post here

I am very much doing catch up as it is already the 11th and it started on the 1st -
however I will give it a go...and here are my first tags...

I was inspired by Tracey herself on Day One illustrated here and demonstrated in her video

I used stamps from Craftstash 'Snowman stamp set' for the snowflakes and two sentiments.
'Merry Christmas' is from Happy Little Stampers.

Having embossed the snowflakes with white opaque embossing powder I used a variety of Distress Oxides to create a background,

I then spritzed this water and after it was dry I used a Tim Holtz tag die to cut three tags.
I then stamped the sentiments, trimmed them and added the green distress oxide around the edges. I attached them with dimensional tape and then added ribbon and some embellishments.

I will link these to the main hop post

Happy Crafting!

  3. You are off to a great start. I only found out about this event last year and had such fun. :) I used the tags last year on our packages (and everyone loved them). This year I am putting them on cards (in a swap with 133 other crafters).
