LeighSBDesigns “The Summer BUZZ Blog Hop” June 18 WOYWW

Once again Leigh is hosting a
Blog Hop to keep us creating and crafting!
I am finding Leigh's hops a real inspiration during these days of lockdown...

This is

If you follow my blog you will know that I like to make ATCs and ATCoins and things to put them in.

You might remember some of the following from past hops, using amongst others, lots of Leigh's images, some of Ike's and some Oddball Arts:

I also like to make pocket letters - but I was thinking about other ways to send out my ATCs (I have a few to post out). When I was regularly swapping with members of the UK Stampers Network I used to make little booklets similar to this:

This is just a 4 inch strip cut from a 12 by 12, scored at 3, 6, and 9 inches. I have added a to/from page at one end and then I can add a maximum of 7 ATCs to it.

This is my Bee book - I have put the ATCs in folders before sticking in place with double sided tape.

I will add this to “The Summer BUZZ Blog Hop”

You might remember some of the ATCs in this next booklet too ...

I noticed on Angela's post WOYWW - I don't know if I will be  too late for this as this post is scheduled for the morning in Australia...but this is the picture of my workdesk as I sorted out my ATCs...

Happy Crafting!

  6. Lovely to see your artwork on WOYWW Susan, nice to meet you too! I love the way you keep your ATCs in the little booklet, what a fab idea. All the ATCs I receive in the swaps are stuck with blu tac on the sides of my bookshelves in the JanCaves. The bees in particular are really lovely.

  7. Love your boxes that you have made for all your collections. To a bee lover the latest book is a favourite and I love this idea of keeping them in books.
A good few years ago I actually went to meet Leigh. I was over in America, a member of Leigh's domino group at the time and so we made the journey to her home. It was lovely to see her and see her work in real life. I particularly remember a giraffe window she was doing at the time, it was gorgeous.
Anyway, enough of that - take care.

  8. I love your little bee booklet - what cute ATC's and lovely way to store/present them. You have some fab ATC's on your desk too, I was definitely drawn to that brightly coloured marbled one - it's gorgeous!

  9. Wow Susan you have some lovely art. I too have the bee fever. I am working on some bee cards too. I still get tickled by the bee sentiments. I like the idea of an ATC booklet. It makes for an easy way to display them too! Thanks for stopping by. It's a hot one today. I am watering my grass and plants this morning so I can relax later. Stay well.

  10. I love your bee book, Susan, and what a great idea for storing and displaying ATCs! I made an accordion card for my hubby's birthday this year (the first I'd ever made) and can see the potential for this idea. I love anything to do with bees and made a beehive explosion box for a bee-keeping friend once - you can see it on my Flickr page here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/12780076@N05/albums/72157659745462658 if you are interested.

Thank you for your visit, and I'm glad you like my pantry and knitting!

    Happy belated WOYWW,

    2. Thank you for taking the trouble to visit Flickr and looking at my bee box, Susan, and I'm really glad you like it. I made it quite a few years ago, and it is still one of my favourite projects! Each tag shows a humorous take on different aspects of life inside the hive. Also, thank you for re-reading my blog post - that really is going the extra mile!! - and that you enjoyed the contents.

  13. Happy belated WOYWW x I do like the idea of your ATC folders, not sureI understand how you put them in folders first. Do you mean you cut up the pocket pages and stuck them to the folder? Haven’t done my entry for The Summer Buzz hop yet, had a stressful day with Dolly, trying to stop her getting to her op wound!

    1. Oh...sorry that you have had a stressful day... I meant the little ATC pockets you can get. Little cellophane envelopes. Then the ATCs can be taken in and out without damaging.

  20. I store my ATC's in folders I once found on a flee market, they were originally made for holding business cards but ATC's fit well only... they're full now so your blogpost is right on time, great idea to make booklets or boxes to store them in, I will make a note and create me some soon! Oh, and thanks for stopping by my blog last week, I'm rather late with visiting you back - it's Saturday already overhere in the Netherlands! Time flies... enjoy your weekend, hug from Holland, Marit #24
