Bugaboo Guest Designer #1

At the end of last year I was delighted to be a grand prize winner at Bugaboo:

This meant I received lots of images and the chance to be a Guest Designer for July and August of this year! This is my first make - for the 4th July Anything Goes Challenge

I hear from my family in the UK that it has been a real scorcher of a Summer so far - so I thought this Fried Chicken image was really appropriate! This image is actually yesterday's Friday Freebie...

I have made a double Z shaped card which was a recent fold at the Butterfly Challenge.
Mrs A shows how to make the fold here

I printed the image and coloured it with Copics before trimming it to size and adding faux stitching around the edges with a fineliner,

For the base I used a grey patterned piece of card from an A4 card pack in my stash.

This sort of card is always difficult to photograph as they won't lie flat - although they will fold flat to go in an envelope. I used my new purchase - the Wendy Vecchi 7" Stay station - to help!

The backing papers I used were from a Prima Bella paper pad and I added Tim Holtz die cuts at either end of the card as embellishments.

I added the sentiment (printed, trimmed and edge faux stitched) on the back fold behind the image.

Hope you will enter the challenge (and watch out for Christmas in July!)

Happy Crafting!

  1. I just love this image. I used it on a birthday card for my beach loving friend! So cute.
