Sorry not aware of GFS in the UK but looking forward to seeing which UFO you work on next Susan. I end up with a tiny space for working too lol. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #?
ReplyDeleteI do like the little knitted doll - you were a very neat knitter for 11! You're definitely keeping busy this week with the crafting, a good thing to do in the second lockdown, I had no idea that that was happening. You've probably got a favourite mask pattern bu the five dart one (link on my blog) is a good fit and easier to breathe in, it's also got a gap to insert a filter of sorts.

Glad you are keeping busy. Being locked down again can't be easy. The mask production never stops does it.
ReplyDeleteTake care and have a good week

Wow you have lots on the go. Love your cute knitted doll. No idea at what to do with the box but it is fab. Have a lovely week . Soojay #14
ReplyDeleteHI Susan, that's a properly busy craft room, well done for working through your UFOs. I'm near to finishing the squares for a quilt but dreading making it up! I love the little doll, had to look up to see what GFS was - is it Girls' Friendly Society? Brilliant box, I'd probably end up using it for storage, although would make a great base for a miniature room box. Happy WOYWW :) Annie C #17
ReplyDeletejust a bit jealous of your 4 work surfaces when all I have is one floor... and that's getting smaller by the week! Not sure about the box but it's the sort of thing I'd hoard too if given it. Hope to see inspiration strikes by next week!1 Helen '#2
ReplyDeleteWow, good knitting for an eleven year old, certainly a great indicator of your future crafty self! No idea about the box Susan, if it were given to me I’d be walking round it for months! Your fourth desk (!) has a lovely view, that’s a bonus too, love those watermelon slices, one of my favourite images.
ReplyDeleteIt looks as if you are pretty busy, Susan. I've no idea what GFS is! As for the box, my hubby had some plain wooden boxes that bottles of port had come in as presents for Christmas over several years, and I painted them with narrow boat painting, and they have little silk flowers in pots inside them, and we hang them on the outside of the summer house. They look really pretty with their bright colours. https://www.flickr.com/photos/12780076@N05/50143190523/in/album-72157715205245276/
ReplyDeleteHappy belated WOYWW,

No, wasn't in the GFS but I was in the GG (Girl Guides - and I know Girls Friendly Society).
ReplyDeleteLove the wooden box - it is crying out for some paint. I would decide what I wanted to use it for and decorate accordingly. I love decorating boxes.
Envious of your many desk areas, lovely craft room.
Wishing you many happy hours in there.
hugs, Neet 6 xx
Amazing talent you have, I'm trying different crafty ideas now, enjoy viewing all you make.
ReplyDeleteThe box for me decorated would be lovely for my sewing material or patterns, can't wait to see what you make.
Hugs, Lori m
I didn’t know what the GFS was, I got asked to leave the Guides - not because I was naughty, but because I could never sit still! That box would end up as storage, I would probably use papers and images to decorate it. As I am away I am leaving WOYWW till I get back x
ReplyDeleteHi Susan! the box would make a great bedside table or occasional table? Paint it up! You have been busy! What a lovely find, something you made when you were young! I was in Girl Scouts as a child, I'm assuming your group was something similar? Sorry I'm so late this week! Thank you for your earlier visit, Lindart #26
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated WOYWW. That box would be fantastic as a storage box for the projects you are working on currently. I have a storage pouffe in the living room which has my current needle felting projects in. They are close to hand, but tidy and out of the way of tiny hands. Ali x. #28
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Susana, Thank YOu for the visit. Trying to keep up on visiting and I guess morning for me is the best time. Beautiful weather here the past week. Your work spots are all interesting. Love the arrangement you have for storing your markers. UNIQUE box I have several and what ever I have the most of goes inside. Stay Safe and Have a great weekend
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting, Susan, and I'm glad you like my first tiny carpet and my outfit. I have now made a good start on tiny carpet #2!

Hi Susan, yep you can stick me in the never heard of gfs corner too :) that is a neat box and since I have a stack of cigar boxes I have never done a thing to.. Ooh those frames would have taken me forever to line up. ( I wonder if you could save the negative part as a cheat sheet to line them up after? ) ~Stacy #25
ReplyDeleteYou cannot have enough craft desks I have 3! Love your little doll, I have been a knitter since the age of 5, it is such a satisfying hobby. Thank you for your visit. ANi #9
