Happy Valentine's Day!

This is my next inspiration piece for Michelle's Creative Warriors.

As it is Valentine's Day I wanted to add a Heart.

I have decorated the cover of a junk journal and am sharing the first page...

I have used the Sunflowers from Karen Yates' Goddess Collection

Firstly I made a cover to a junk journal, printing the images on tissue paper and then adding sprays and stencilling. The letters are using handmade foam stamps.

I added penwork and splatter.

I used my sewing machine to stitch in pages.

Secondly for the first page in my junk journal I printed the images on white card and painted them with shimmery water colours before cutting them out. This time I used one of Karen's sentiments at the top and bottom.

"Fleuris là où tu es plantée," is an old French saying meaning, “Bloom where you are planted.” It is attributed to Saint François de Sales in the 16th Century.

I'm not sure if you can see the shimmer in the photos.
