A comment that registered with me in the online journal workshop with Sharon Everett
at The Forget Me Not Kraft Kabin

was that often we don't get around to decorating out journal covers...

so I thought I better rectify this with this A5 one...

Initially I used similar techniques as with Sharon's class...

However I then started decorating my die cuts using some techniques mentioned in a 'Live' at Hillbilly Scrappin

I added extra colour around the edges of the die cuts using a wash of spritzed Distress Crayon.

I then added Distress Crayon through a Tim Holtz stencil...

...and spread it into the shapes with a dryish baby wipe.

I used a silver paint pen to emphasize these.

And as a final touch, I added gesso through another Tim Holtz stencil.

When dry I arranged the pieces on my cover - and this is when things went awry...

I had a bit of trouble with my dots from the black Perlen Pen.

 I used that Tim Holtz create die again...

So - apart from my dots - quite happy...
