A Yellow Distress Oxide on white then black

This is one of the final workshops that I had a go at in the

September Virtual Retreat with Hillbilly Scrapping'

The idea was to make backgrounds on black and white using fossilised amber Distress Oxide.

Using the 'packaging technique' - smearing the Oxide onto a plastic bag. spritzing it with water and then dabbing it down on the surface - I added several layers of colour.

Next I stamped first, second and third generation stamps with a foam star in the yellow (and black on the white).

Finally I used a stencil with black soot Distress Oxide.

These are the two versions - I cut the black page into two sections to cover two pages of my A5 journal. I cut the white page to fit in my 10 in square journal. (This was the last page in here!)

I then collages a stamped image from Dyan Reaveley's Black Sheep with sections of stencilled card using the same two Distress Oxides, yellow card, black card and pieces of chipboard.

I then moved onto the black background in a similar way, this time using stamps from
Lost Coast Designs Mayan Heiroglyph stamps.

I will link this to Lost Coast Portal's The Man Cave Challenge

Happy Crafting!
