I laughed at the sheepdog joke - a good one for maths teachers too I expect. A lovely candlestick that your husband has created. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #6
ReplyDeleteLol at the And Finally!! Did you live in North Wales when you were in the UK? Penmon is rather lovely though I haven't been there for ages. Your crafty bits and pieces are looking great this week, you've got a lot of projects on the go!

We lived in Haverfordwest,South Wales from 1980 to 1984 then Moelfre on Anglesey from 84 to 92. We have visited countless times as well...doing the Menai Straits Regattas every Summer for many years.
DeleteHi Susan. Found myself laughing out loud at the sheepdog!! Love it. Beautiful candlestick. Well done hubby!

It must be difficult for someone brought up on the Northern Hemisphere to think of September as a summer month! Lovely colourful journal spreads! I often think of joining a book club, but I know I would struggle with deadlines. I'm a slow reader - I like to savour the stories. I know people who say they read a book a day - they must be speed reading - whereas if I find a passage I like, I read it several times! Plus, I tend to read long books 500+ pages - the longer the better - so it takes me at least a month to finish a book, sometimes longer. Love your blossoming garden. We still have a couple of months before the garden goes to sleep and I'm looking forward to the autumn colours - I love this time of year! Happy Wednesday! zsuzsa #18
ReplyDeleteGosh what a busy day you've had. I love your old sewing machine cabinet. My grandmother had one just like it. Loving the dog funny and the postcard explains the weather very well. It was nice here until about 2.00pm and then it rained and it still is. I need some nice weather tomorrow so that I can trim the dogs, hopefully. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x10x
ReplyDeleteYour weather postcard Made me smile, but the sheepdog postcard was really funny. happy WOYWW Angela#28
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I could never get used to the seasons being reversed if I ever moved to Australia, Susan! It seems so odd to be having spring in September! Lovely photos and great journal pages, and what a fun candlestick. Your old sewing machine is great. I've got my grandmother's treadle painted white with a glass top on it for a hall table. The sewing machine disappeared many moons before I got it. I love the sheepdog funny! Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting, and for your kind wishes re my ring - but it's now 5 days and still no sign of it so I think I'm going to have to resign myself to having lost it for good. I am so sad about it. I hope you enjoy the savoury lentil flatbreads if your hubby does make them.
Happy WOYWW,

ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit, and for sharing all the fun photos. Love the window, I miss that with my set up in lower level. Fun pages too Stay safe and Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteSo many crafty bits and bobs - lovely! I am going to Anglesey next week for a few days - never been to Penmon so maybe we look it up. xx Jo
ReplyDeleteMake sure you have a look at Pennon Priory and then drive through to see Penmon Point (small fee) and the lighthouse.
DeleteHi Susan, what a lot of interesting titbits in your post, you have so much going on! Your journal pages look fab, great idea to follow the class and then do it again to put your own spin on the lesson. Zoom book club sounds fun, I keep thinking about starting up a book club now I'm retired, also much easier now we have kindles and such I guess. Love the sheepdog joke! :D Annie C
ReplyDeleteI havent read the book - what did the Book Club think? Well done on getting it finished..it’s one of the things that makes me hesitate about joining such clubs I must say! Love the candle stick..clever stick your hubby! Sorry!
ReplyDeleteQuite interesting... We all either gave it 4/5 or 2/5. No middle ground. Loved it or hated it!
DeleteWonderful photos of your journal and your desk. I have a Book Club too and we meet via Zoom. I know it’s not ideal, but it still works. Have a wonderful week. Dorlene #26
