Blog Along with Effy - September 3rd

Once again I am joining in with Effy's Blog Along. I thought I would share some more 'diary' posts, along with some of the crafty things that I have been doing.

Today I got up pretty early so that I could join my UK crafty friends in a Zoom Craft and Chat. It was their Thursday evening and my early Friday morning. Currently we are 9 hours different - I will be so pleased when the hour changes again! Anyway Dolly ran a little tutorial on making a teabag folding card. his time I was not covered in paint - just glue!

The weather today has been dreadful - torrential rain. When the postie delivered some letters, they were falling apart they were so wet. My letter was a card from the UK posted on August 18th - so it had only taken about 2 weeks which is better - Some things have been taking 5 weeks between Australia and the UK.

So I have been doing a bit of crafting - I decided to join in with Let's Make a Mini Art Journal with Marjie Kemper and today was the 4th day, So far I have got this far:

I love the vibrant colours - they are all from different colours of Distress Ink. I was going to start the next Wanderlust class but that will have to wait for tomorrow. In a moment I am going to go and sit in front of the telly, under a heated blanket and doing a cross-stitch card, This is the one I did last week:

Now a memory... 5 years ago today I was blowing bubbles with my fairy granddaughter...

More tomorrow!

Happy Crafting!

  1. Love you mini art journal - the colours are stunning. And blowing bubbles - my youngest grandchild is 13, but I was thinking the other day that there really is no reason why I shouldn't enjoy blowing bubbles all by myself!
