Blog Along with Effy, September 6th

Once again I am joining in with Effy's Blog Along. I thought I would share some more 'diary' posts, along with some of the crafty things I have been doing.

My brother 'whatsapped' me the picture of the ram earlier. He had been visiting the Derby Museum which has an exhibition of all the painted rams that were displayed around the city in June. It reminded me of the painted camels that were in Abu Dhabi when we were living there in 2006.

The ram is painted like a piece of Crown Derby porcelain. You may remember from my April posts that I have a collection Crown Derby 'Derby Posies'.

I added to my collection then when we found the small coffee cups in an antique shop here (very unusual to see Crown Derby here in Australia) and Kevin bought me them for my Birthday.

Today I have been working in my journal. I completed a page that will be one of my DT makes later in the month and I continued with my Natalie May page. This is as far as I got:

At lunchtime I popped over to the cafe across the road to pick up a couple of coffees, sandwiches and a muffin. I had asked the girls to save me their bottle tops when I saw them putting one in the bin. I was delighted with these!!

I use bottle tops to stamp in my journal and as little palettes for water colour paints and powders.
Then today I made this junk stamp to use with my Gelli plate. (Based on an idea from Carolyn Dube on You Tube).

These were the resulting pulls:

More tomorrow!
Happy Crafting!
