What's on your Workdesk Wednesday? #640 /Blog Along With Effy Post 8

 WOYWW

Wednesday again, so I am linking to the Stamping Ground

Follow the link to find out more and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #640

Once again Effy is doing a month-long Blog Challenge on Facebook.
This will be my eighth share there too...

I am a bit late posting as we have just returned from a circular walk around the lakes...the fist time for ages!

Quite a lot of people on the beach! Look how long our shadows are as we walk home.

Yesterday was pretty stressful. Kevin and I are pretty good at sticking to the rules under the current restrictions - wearing masks, QR codes, taking it in turns to go shopping etc etc. Anyway our local supermarket was announced as a tier 2 exposure site. Kevin realised he had been at Coles during the appropriate time - in fact he had a text later confirming this. So we both went for a Covid test. We were a bit concerned that it would take forever as online it suggested wait time could be 2 hours. Anyway we were only at the drive-through test site for 38 minutes! I spent the time until we got the Negative results imagining that I had every symptom imaginable!

~~~~~
But what crafting have I been doing? Here's my utility room desk this morning:
I was having another go with my hand made junk stamp (a la Carolyn Dube) and my Geli plate. These were my results:
Kevin continues with his boat renovations - we were amused to receive this funny from one of our boys...
I finished my 'Natalie May' workshop piece - and started the swatch piece of Wanderlust 36 - I have yet to do my main page!
Today's Facebook memory - Sophie and I sailing round Puffin island (off Anglesey, Wales) in 2012
Hope you are all well - stay safe...
Happy WOYWW !!
  1. I’m glad you’re negative Covid-wise, we had to go through tests as well as my son’s boss tested positive, thankfully we were all ok. The boat funny made me smile, I suspect that rings true! Glad you’ve been having some good craft time too.
  2. That boat funny was brilliant! I think the same sort of thing applies to a lot of us - we invest huge amounts of money over the years in our art-craft rooms and then make cards "for free" but they probably end up costing loads more than bought ones if you factor in all the materials and equipment one buys! I love your page with the home-made stamps - sort of bubbly, and the swings one is just fun - love it!
    Thank you for your return visit to my blog last week. Sorry to hear that your ToDo has having a ToDon't moment - I hope you are able to sort out why it won't heat up.
    Happy WOYWW,
  9. Oh a Covid scare, I can totally imagine how you were closely examining every potential symptom. I have a friend who was pinged and got a PCR test and she swears that her sense of smell and taste disappeared on the drive to the test centre! Really pleased that you’re a negative, really don’t want anyone, jabbed or not, to go through it. Being in lockdown still is hard enough isn’t it. I don’t think I had realised the extent of the lakes, what a constant pleasure they must be. Love the funny about the boat, they do say that the happiest day of a sailor’s life is when he buys a boat, and the second happiest is when he sells it. But that can apply to a horse or car rallying or anything that need constant maintenance don’t you think. keep well, don’t lick anything!,
  10. Covid scare is not good and I can understand you feeling like you might have it. We are still wearing masks in shops and quite surprised this week at the number of people that aren't. Loving your journal pages. Wishing you a happy woyww evening, Angela x19x
  15. Oh don't remind me of Covid-tests. I need one before my OP but it is impossible for them to get to my throat with a swab! Awaiting a call back yet again from the hospital about it. Oh my!
    Anyway, love the page with the swings, love swings. Glad you found the mole amusing too.
    Smashing to be able to have a great walk like that, thanks for sharing the photos.
    Something that worries me about going out is the 'threat', had it once - don't want it twice!
    Enjoy your week
  19. Such a relief that the test came out negative, pfew! In Holland, rules aren't that strict anymore and nobody things about it anyway... I don't go out much and it's scary to even shop for groceries these days... I think you Britain people are way better with rules and sticking to it! I love your gelli-pages, it's been a while since I played with my gelliplate, I might take it out to play this weekend! Enjoy your weekend lovely one. Hug from Holland, Marit #2
  20. I really do like the backgrounds you made with the "junkstamp" as you call it... :)
    And the Art journal page is stunning. Good sentiment as well.
    We use masks as well even if it´s not a recommendation
    here in Sweden.
    Happy weekend to you and stay safe!
