Do pop over to the Color Dare Challenge and take a look at my teamies' makes.
This picture shows the challenge -
I used shades of the three colours plus gold...
This is a little gift card folder made from a circle of two-sided Designer Paper, distressed along the edges with brown distress inks. I added a flower embellishment.
This was based on a workshop by Mickey in a Zoom craft and chat with the UK Stampers Network.
I then added a couple of tags...
Hope you will join the Color Dare Challenge...

Gecko Galz April Challenges
Here are some of the April challenges with freebie images,
For this I made a funfold card - part of a swap with Facebook Group Card Making Swaps with Sal. The instructions are here
I loved the image for this challenge and used it on a journal page:
This was a pre-workshop challenge for a virtual retreat with Hillbilly Scrappin' that starts tonight...
I also used it on a Flip it Folder along with last month's image.
This was for a swap with the Facebook Group Junk Journal Creative Swaps in Oz.
Happy Crafting!
Creative Warriors Inspiration Team - Term 3 Post #18
This is my next inspiration for the Creative Warriors Inspiration Team
You will see our inspirational creations on the Facebook Group
Today I have used the image from Annette's Poppy.
This time I have used my small kraft journal and made a spread in recognition of Anzac Day.
I started by adding some green sparkly texture paste followed by white gesso (applied with a brayer). I then stamped REMEMBER using my (handmade) foam stamps and black acrylic.
Next I added lots of textured papers. These were packaging and papers with added Gesso and crushed charcoal mixes.
I painted Annette's poppies with shimmery watercolours.

I like this number!!
So here's my desk:
Not much different from last week that I didn't manage to share!
The yellow piece is part of a junk journal that I am making at part of the pre-workshops leading up to a virtual retreat this coming weekend. On today's photo is another page... I may share some of the pages after the weekend.
I also thought I would share two of my other work surfaces:
This is my computer desk - I am making some altered playing cards for a swap - each one has a 'door'.
On my IKEA kitchen board there is a mess of trimmed papers!
On Sunday Sophie and I went to a glass class - in order to make a vase. Pieces of glass are melted to make the finished item. We hope ours become anything like the examples!
That's all for today - hope to call on you all soon...
Happy WOYWW!

OK - so the best laid plans etc...
I planned to write this on the train into the City and I thought I had my desk photo on my phone. As it turns out I must have taken it off onto my computer this afternoon!
We are off to a concert to see James Taylor. Almost exactly 54 years ago I received one of his LPs as an 18th Birthday present...
Anyway if you could see my desk photo you would see the featured post journal page on the desk easel.
And a mess on the surface... A journal page with a base layer of yellow and this edge to edge shaker card in progress...
This can be found in another post if you scroll down!
We were looking after Ollie today so there was an arrangement to pass him onto his Dad at the station so we could get the next train. First Dan was delayed by an accident on his journey home from work. Next we were just about to leave the house and Ollie needed his nappy changing!
Anyway here we are on the train...and I thought I would finish with a video of Ollie...
Butterfly Challenge #195
This was my last Butterfly Challenge entry and I was delighted to find that it was a winner! Thank you Mrs A!
The theme for Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge #195 is E for Easy Edge to Edge Shaker Card.
She shows the technique HERE
The wheel in the Butterfly Challenge is as follows with the colour scheme below
I followed the instructions from Mrs A until I started embellishing.
I used a piece of card for the back of the shaker that was the backing from some freebies in a magazine! I embossed this with a script embossing folder.
This is aimed at the 2nd prize Challenge.
And also Leigh's Challenge
I just discovered I was a prizewinner on Leigh's blog with this card so thank you Leigh!
