Tuesday Inspiration for Blue Moon Creations

Here's my Tuesday inspiration for Blue Moon Creations!

The current Challenge is Interactive Cards  and is at the Crafting Station

I have used a Bee image and Sentiment from Spiced Sunshine Digis

So how is it interactive?  Well the bee spins around the sentiment circle...
This is what I started with...

The patterned paper circle was stuck directly onto the card base -
 the larger piece with dimensionals.
I distressed the sentiment circle with Shabby Shutters and then added that too with dimensionals. This means there is a gap that the penny will fit into between the card base and these pieces - the bee will circle the sentiment on this penny!

(I placed the penny underneath before adding the circle and added a small round dimensional to this.)

I coloured the bee with Promarkers and cut it out, and stick it to the small round dimensional, adding a couple of paperclips for feelers.

The bee can now be pushed around the circle...

Hope you like it!!

Tuesday Inspiration for Blue Moon Creations

The current Challenge is Interactive Cards and is at the Crafting Station

I decided to make a slider card using an image and sentiment from Spiced Sunshine Digis

I printed these once on white and twice on Desert Storm Neenah to paper-piece the image.
Additional colour was added using Copics.
This is the inner sliding part of the card.
I added some yellow card for the beaks and some gems.

This is the outer wrapping - I used a Digi Paper from Little Claire scored, folded and glued to wrap around the inner part.

An eyelet plus ribbon makes the inner slide out...

However I decided it needed a few more embellishments - some washi and buttons...

This is the final result:

Tuesday Inspiration for Blue Moon Creations

Yes we are back...

But you will find our Challenges on Facebook...

The current Challenge is BANNERS and is at the Crafting Station

I am very fond of banners - or bunting as we would call it in England - I recently hung some across our house for the village carnival...

Banners in card making usually mean two sorts of thing - I have used both types in my inspiration creation today: the first I have made using washi on some twine - the second is  a purchased banner layered on scraps of card.

I have used both of these on a card with an image from Spiced Sunshine Digis
Bear Holding Whimsical Heart
I printed this twice - on Desert Storm Neenah and some pink corrugated card to paper-piece the image.

This is the final card with all elements placed on a Kraft card Base:

Tuesday Inspiration for Blue Moon Creations

Yes we are back...

But you will find our Challenges on Facebook...

The current Challenge is BANNERS and is at the Crafting Station

Have you seen in the shops mini - banners
 - or bunting as we would call it in England -
usually made of fabric but I decided to make one out of paper...?

I used images from Spiced Sunshine Digis

These were the same images I used for last Tuesday's make, printed on white card and coloured with Promarkers. Some were trimmed into rectangles, others using a nesting die...

I used another image and die cut them into scalloped circles.
I die cut yellow card into backing pieces  and distressed all pieces with Wild Honey Distress Ink.

These were the three different shapes:

I then added an eyelet to each piece and threaded them up with some orange velvet ribbon.

I then tried the banner out on the mantlepiece

and the staircase...

Susan's Tuesday Inspiration for Blue Moon Creations

Yes we are back...

But you will find our Challenges on Facebook...

The current Challenge is USE SOME BUTTONS and is at the Crafting Station

I decided to make a teeny tiny card using an image

from Spiced Sunshine Digis

I printed several images on white card and coloured them with Promarkers.

I trimmed some into rectangles and die cut others with a nesting die whilst deciding what shape to use...I decided on the die cut shape.

I found some button DP in my stash and cut it to mat a tiny kraft card base (3.5 by 3.5 inches).
I distressed with Scattered Straw Distress Ink both this and the image.

Finally I added buttons from my button box...

Susan's Tuesday inspiration for Blue Moon Creations

Yes we are back...

But you will find our Challenges on Facebook...

The current Challenge is USE SOME BUTTONS and is at the Crafting Station

I decided to make a set of ATCs using Lady Bug

from Spiced Sunshine Digis

The images were printed on white card and coloured with Promarkers.
Each rectangle was distressed with toning Distress Inks and
matted onto rectangles of card from my scraps.

I then added googly eyes, bows, and lots of buttons (bought in Crawford Market in Mumbai!).

Blue Moon Creation DT Valentine Card #4

Hi, Susan here!

February is my Valentine month!

My husband and I got married on February 14th 1976 - so this year will be our 39th Anniversary.

This year I have made 4 Valentine cards for Blue Moon Creation

and I am showing you the fourth today!

My 4 cards are all based on the same fold - a heart Flip-it Card.

I have a Sissix die to cut this, using my Big Shot, but it can also be made by hand. Here is my rough guide:

I cut several card blanks:

This card uses the bunny from Blue Moon Creation

Happy Valentine's Month!
