WOYWW #829

I have been stamping some images for a swap so you can see them all drying all over my work table.
At the front you can see a scraper that I picked up in a paint shop (decorating paint) which I think will be useful for applying texture paste to a stencil. Can you spot anything else?

My monochrome journal page ended up like this:

This was the original photo of my Grandma, Grandad, Mum and sister - apparently my Mum was very proud of the pram...

These are this week's faux stamps which are on one of the easels.

What else have I been doing?

These are two of my scrappy dolls...

Remember those junk journals I made with the grey fabric covers?

This is the cover I made for them - each signature is just tied in with ribbon so that I can still take them out and easily add to them.

Some scrappy belly bands to add to junk journals:

Tomorrow is the start of another virtual retreat - and so far there has been three pre-challenges. The monochrome journal page was one. This next journal page is inspired by my home. Firstly I stitched some scraps from my quilting stash onto a denim page.
I then added 'foliage' and houses. Because we live alongside bush and the Botanic Gardens it is not unusual to see a wallaby or bandicoot - a koala is rare. But we are overrun with rabbits!

(By the way today I saw a large Huntsman spider in our letterbox...)

This second one was a Zentangle postcard featuring who is the boss in our house...

So Easter came and went - do you like my earrings?

But that's all for now... hope to comment on you all this week. Last week just flew by and it is Wednesday again before I knew it!

I am in the process of making a monochrome journal page.
I made some more faux stamps which you can see on the easel.

These were made using some washi that I picked up in the National Gallery of Australia in Canberra.

I have also been making some snippet rolls - paper based

and also one made of fabric, plus some scrappy dolls - but I have no photos of these as yet...

On Thursday last week we set off for a few days in Canberra - we arrived back yesterday. We broke the journey in both directions - in Albury and Beechworth - making the journey 4 hours at a time rather than 8 hours.

We visited various places so I have lots of photos on Facebook. Here are some examples:

Sculpture garden in Albury:

Dog on a tuckerbox in Gundegai:

Fountain in Lake Burley Griffin.

Lindy Lee sculpture outside the NGA.

Parliament Buildings:

The Mint:

Alowyn Gardens on the way back:

But that's all for now...
