Christmas cards

Last day to enter my candy!! Winner post tomorrow!

My resolution to make 3 Christmas cards per week so I don't have to go bananas in November
is already falling by the wayside.
By now I think I should have maybe 24 cards - I think I have 18!

Entering challenges like the Rudolph Days Challenge helps...
so here's my entry...

This will be a very quick post as Kevin is already saying we need to get on...

I decided to make some cards using sheet music as the background and I thought
 "While Shepherds watched"
would be good behind Bugaboo's 'Merry Christmas to ewe!'

I combined the picture and the sentiment in Word, printed it out and added some colour using Promarkers and glitter glue.

I combined this with some die cut shapes:

The final touch was to add some ribbon...

New Challenge at Crafting from the Heart

Last day of my Candy here!!

Today another CHALLENGE starts at Crafting From The Heart -  "always anything goes"!!

We have a fabulous sponsor for you...

Imagine That!

I have used To the Moon and Back

I have used precoloured elementd from this to make a Wiper card.

The wiper card base is made from two strips from a 12 by 12 each 5.75 inches wide.
Each strip is scored at 2.25 and 5.5 inches, folded and stuck together back to back.
When flat it will show this section on which I have matted with three rectangles of Kanban DP on brown card, wrapped with twine, and the spaceship

Pull out the side and the card looks like this:

Lying completely flat the side elements are visible - the sentimet which flips up says
"Planet right..."

I will link this wiper card to the Imagine That! Customer Gallery

Look forward to seeing your makes at Crafting from the Heart!

ATCs today...

I mentioned a few days ago that when I am making ATCs
I usually print and colour 3 images...

and then I either make a layered ATC with each image or make a trio.

Today I have three trios to show you...the first uses the February image for the
Outlawz Progressive Challenge

The background papers are from an MME Cupid's Arrow No.14 Paper Pad layered with some lilac card.
I used Spectrum Noir pens to colour the images.
Finally I added some heart brads.

My second trio uses scraps from the same paper pad which is mainly red, grey and teal on white.
I coloured the image with Spectrum Noirs.
Recently I was lucky enough to win three Bloobel stamps -
I chose Thank you for the Flowers as one of them.

I added some teal brads.
I will link these ATCs to the Wicked Wednesday Challenge 198

My third set of ATCs uses a rabbit image - I had stamped these and put them in
'my images to colour' folder - not sure of the make of the stamp.
I coloured the images with Spectrum Noirs.

Behind the images are a selection of snippets from my scraps.

Three Five Minute Cards

First a quick reminder - just two days left to enter my Candy Draw!!

This is the paint chip for the current challenge at Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge

The theme is G is for Grape and/or Glitter.
I was looking through my 'bits and bobs' folder
and the first thing that came to hand was a card blank in grape!!

The stamp set LC Designs Butterfly Flourish was still lying on my worktable so I used it to stamp two part butterflies on a white rectangle and the sentiment. I added a touch of colour with a Burgundy Promarker. I used a toning Stickles to add glitter around the rectangle and the die cut sentiment. This is on dimensionals. Finally I added three butterflies which shine red or gold.

I will link this to the Butterfly Challenge

My next card uses an image from A Day for Daisies
A Gift from the Stars
coloured with Spectrum Noirs and  some gold Stickles.

This was a very simple card - just a white card base,
matted with an LC Designs Falling Daisies paper.
The image was framed with a scalloped circle cut with nesting dies from a piece of scrap DP.

I will link this to Cookie Challenge #38

My third card is CAS - just a white card blank, a triangle of DP,
a die cut using a Craftstash die Apple Blossom A little Bird told me
and a strip of 'Birds on a wire' washi.

The sentiment inside will say 'It's your Birthday!'

I'm hoping this will fit the Less Is More Challenge

LOC Challenge #119

So - it's the last few days of my Candy here! Who'd like a crafty surprise in the post??

Today a new Challenge #119 starts at Left of Center
 'Bling Bling'.

Our sponsor is SLSLines

Today I have a twisted easel card to show you...and I am still on February Valentine cards - although this is maybe another anti-Valentine!!

I am using Valentine Digi Stamp coloured with Promarkers.

The base and easel are matted and layered with DP from a MME Cupid's Arrow No.14 Paper Pad. The die cut heart stand is on dimensionals and is stamped with a rubber stamp from my stash - not sure of the origin...I also added smaller die cut hearts here and there...

I have added sequin covered hearts (a gift from Kristina Deyette - thank you!!)
and some big pearl hearts...

Looking forward to seeing your LOC /Bling Bling projects!

Happy Crafting!!

Teddy Heart

I have had this lovely little image from Morgan's Artworld (Teddy Heart)
printed out twice, coloured with Promarkers and on my desk for days...
it is the February image for the Facebook Challenge

Today I made the images into two little cards - both for ladies!!
The first is a simple twisted easel card - using only the image and some fancy die cuts on a white pearlescent card blank plus extra square.

For the stand I just used some chipboards from my stash...

It was very dfficult to photograph today - either too shady or too much sun (mustn't complain) making shadows...

My second card is a CAS card based on Stella's sketch from Catch the Bug

I started with a lilac card blank with the fold at the top...
I added the image with an assortment of embellsihments from my stash...

I will add this card to Stella Says Sketch Challenge #403,
both cards to the Facebook Challenge,

Happy Crafting!
