Sunday Songs and Rhymes - March 31 - April 13

Have you found the new home of the Outlawz Sunday Song & Rhyme Challenge yet?

I do hope you will go and check it out!

This challenge has no sponsors, but you do have the opportunity to win a top 3 badge.

Now on to the challenge!

Our Song/Rhyme this fortnight is from Lorie

I have made an Easter card based on a fold idea by Mickey in a Zoom Craft and Chat with the UK Stampers Network.

This is the final card I made using my new Noolibird stamps ...

This is the front but inside looks like this:

I used a patterned paper from my stash and a Gelli pull on which I stamped various images using my new Noolibird stamps.

If you haven't already, please join our
to stay up with all the challenges.
Thanks for playing along!

NBUS March 2024

I found this stamp and die set ( Hero Arts DC244) in 'clearance' so I thought I would use it immediately (for a change!)

It is a gourd set and probably aimed at Halloween but I am using it now...

The background is a Gelli Pull trimmed to fit a kraft card blank.

I stamped the gourds on a green Gelli pull and die cut them. I also stamped the sentiment and trimmed it.

As these stamps are NBUS so I will share the card there...

Color Dare Challenge #594

This picture shows my make for the

Do pop over to the Color Dare Challenge and take a look at my teamies' makes.

This picture shows the challenge -

I have used the acrylic paints trying to match colours in the bottom row and some blue on my Gelli plate.

I used a 'pine' card blank matted with white, then more green followed by the Gelli plate background. I stamped directly onto this last layer with the Noolibird stamps. I printed the sentiment on the computer.

Hope you will join the Color Dare Challenge...

Gecko Galz Christmas Card Challenge

This is my make using the freebie image from the Gecko Galz

I used the image on dimensionals to give it some height.
I then used snippets of Christmas paper to add the extra rectangles.
To these I added some gilt stickers and penwork.

I also will link this to the Snippets Challenge

Lost Coast Portal Part 2

Some while ago I won a prize from Lost Coast Portal and I chose two stamps in the NEW section.

These were the Mini Maritime Collage and the Mini Bird Collage.

My plan was to use them on ATCs and in particular I have been thinking about the theme 'In the Spotlight'.

These were my first ideas:

This second one uses the Mini Bird Collage

I posted these off to a swap partner before taking individual photos!

I have a handful of Gelli  pulls on my desk so I thought I would try using Archival ink and my stamping platform to stamp on these. It was not particularly successful - I think the acrylic paint had too much texture. Anyway this was my first ATC using layers of scraps from my stash and a heart shaped die.

I will add this to the

WOYWW # 773

It is Wednesday so I am linking to the Stamping Ground

Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #773

Here's my desk today - you can I am in the process of starting a journal page in blues using stencils. I will show you how it progresses next week...

On the desk easel is a quick page I made to wish you a Happy Easter - a Gelli pull plus a napkin from my stash and some chipboards. I added extra colour with acrylics and ink.

The chipboards can be found here

On Friday morning I joined in a Zoom Craft and Chat with the UK Stampers Network and Patti shared  a super workshop to make a tape bound mini book. I used an IKEA tape measure as my tape! I enjoy catching up on these Zooms but the hour is changing which will make it very early during our Winter.

I decorated this with some of my Gelli pulls.

I will try hard to get around to you all this week - but I am only just writing this after dropping Ollie back home - Somehow the time is just flying at the moment!

Happy  WOYWW!

Creative Warriors Inspiration Team - Term 3 Post #16

This is my next inspiration for the Creative Warriors Inspiration Team

with Michelle Grant Designs

You will see our inspirational creations on the Facebook Group

Today I have used the image from Michelle's Beautiful - this is one of my favourites!

I have used it a few times in the past - the first one was an image transfer, the second the pre-coloured images.

Today I have again used the precoloured image:

The first layer is acrylics added via my Gelli plate.
I then added teabag papers and the image.

Next I add a script stamp in ground espresso archival ink to the background, waterproof pencil around the edges and some penwork.

Next I added some flowers using an Art by Marlene stamp set, stamped on a Gelli pull and cut out for the heads and direct for the stalks.

I added more waterproof pencil round the blooms. Can you see the shine on the blooms? This was a metallic acrylic.
