Final inspiration for the Oddball Arts Co April Challenge

Once again I have used pastel colours to remind you of the current Oddball Challenge
 'Puffy Pastel Polka dots'

There's still time to enter!

I made an easel card:

I think the image Cute Curly Sue #516 definitely lends itself to the theme - especially when she's pink!!

Recipe:
1. Using a 5 inch card blank, I scored and folded it across the middle to make the stand.
2. I then used many scraps to layer the various sections.
3. Curly Sue is coloured with Copics and fussy cut.

4. I printed the words, stamped around with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and die cut. These are a Hero Arts stamp and matching die. This formed the basis of the prop for the easel.

5. Finally I added a puffy heart sticker, washi and bows.

Happy Crafting... and don't forget to enter the Challenge!

Crafty Hazelnut's Weekly Christmas Challenge #435

a new Christmas Challenge every Saturday!

Today Crafty Hazelnut brings a new weekly Christmas Challenge
with the theme 'For a child'.

Do pop over and see the fabulous inspiration from my teamies!

Here's my card...

Recipe:
I used a combination of dies from Craftstash and
stamps from Stampin Up to form the Snowmen.

I added a folded rectangle at the base to help the card stand up. 'Let it Snow' are Craftstash dies.

I then added ribbon as scarves and gems for buttons.

I hope you will join the
CHNC Challenge 435

Outlawz Colour Challenge

While I was making the card for my last post,
I made a second fold for the colour challenge at
The Outlawz
This is the colour palette with the added twist of a fun fold:

This is my card:

Recipe:
1. A 4 inch strip from a black 12 by 12, scored and folded at 2, 4, 8, 10 inches.
2. Layers of red, blue/green, yellow sun, green die cuts.

3. The sun die is unbranded but I think the vegetation strip is from Craftstash.
4. The image was divided into two to go on the front two sections. The image is from The Paper Shelter Crocodile Love (pre-coloured).

5. A few puffy heart stickers.

I will link this to the Outlawz Challenge

and I was delighted to have this card featured!!

2. Layers of 'water colour' paper from The Works.
3. Image from Sasayaki Glitter Stamps By Naz coloured with Copics, fussy cut. This was the progressive freebie on Facebook for April.

4.To the other side I added the sentiment - printed on the computer, stamped around and die cut using Hero Arts stamp and die. I added a little Copic colour to this.

5. The die in the centre is a Craftstash die. Finally I added the flower embellishment.

Oddball Art Stamps

Watch your email for this week's image!

You might know that our Lizzy Love is in the middle of buying and selling houses - it is all a little fraught - and this week's image demonstrates that...

Once again I have used pastel colours to remind you of the current Oddball Challenge 'Puffy Pastel Polka dots'

There's still time to enter!

Recipe:
1. I started with a strip of 12 by 12 (a paper from The Works). I cut this at 6.5 inches and scored and folded it at 4 and 8 inches
2. Next I used a unbranded die set to cut the houses.
3. I added the image, coloured with Copics and cut out. Note the strait jacket!
4. I added the words, cut out and distressed with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.

Inside it says:

I am sure you will enjoy using this week's image - and don't forget to enter the Challenge!

Butterfly Challenge with the Letter E

The Butterfly Challenge has a different twist these days - to use a special fold is an option.
With E it is an Easel and Mrs A has added some ideas here. I went for Version 1.

I started with a strip of an emerald green 12 by 12 and scored it at 3 and 6 inches.
This was about 4.5 inches wide.

I used a paper from Molly's Ballerina paper pad (including Egyptian blue on it) to mat the base and easel.

The next layer was made using an embossing folder and Victorian Velvet Distress Ink - see my previous post for the video showing more details.

I distressed the edges of this, and the sentiment, with Victorian Velvet too.

The butterflies and sentiment come from Bugaboo's Beauty Butterfly I added colour to the butterflies with Copics, including 'Eminence'.

I will link this to Butterfly Challenge #121.

I will also link it to the Path Of Positivity Challenge - happiness

and the Outlawz Festive Friday Challenge - Anything Goes.

Happy Crafting!

P.S. Mrs A chose this card as one of her top three!!

2. A layer of background using an embossing folder (Bubble Explosion by Leonie Pujol) and Broken China Distress Ink.
3. The image coloured with Copics and fussy cut.
4. Sentiments printed and die cut with a small circle, distressed around the edges with Broken China.
5. A scatter of blue pearls.

I will link this to the Outlawz Challenge

This is another pastel coloured inspiration for the current Oddball Challenge

Happy Easter!!

I just thought I would share some more Easter ATCs...

First, more of my envelope sort, with the Stampin' Up 'Happy Easter' sentiment:

I used dies from the Tonic ATC Collection again and sorted out a number of suitable embellishments.

I made these for a swap...and I recently finished a pocket letter for another swap.
Usually in a pocket letter there are 9 ATCs - this time they were unconventionally egg-shaped!

But I thought it was appropriate to share on Easter Sunday!

Egg shaped cards with lots of embellishments!

Happy Easter and Happy Crafting!
