Multi-Panel Accordion Fold Card

CLEVER DEXTER CHALLENGE #12

This month we invite you to join in with

THEME: Slay these bells!

THEME: Slay these Bells (whatever that means to you)
COLOR PALETTE: Dark Green, Light Green, White, Red, Burgundy (optional)
SPONSOR: CasettaSullalbero

Please visit the Clever Dexter Challenge Blog to find out more...

Here is my second inspirational make for this challenge.
Today I have multi-panel Accordion fold card.

This is a pretty complex card which I have made a few times before e.g. for my son's 40th and my husband's 70th...

Lyneen thought she might like to make one so I am enclosing details. I first saw the idea on
I then transferred the dimensions onto my Cricut and cut all the pieces with that.

Step One
These pieces are the front and back - pieces of red card cut to  3.75 by 5.25 inches.

I decorated the front with the image Marshmallow which is pre-coloured. I added 'All is calm' stamped with letter stamps and a few stars.

Step Two

Next a series of panels 4 by 5.5 inches, cut in two pieces with a tab to stick them together. I cut out the windows and decorated them with the grey frames.

Step Three

This series of panels are made in a similar way, each panel being 2.25 by 3.25 inches.

I decorated these with letter stamping and stars and several of the image Chiribi Municipality

Step Four

The second panels are threaded through the first ones.

Step Five

The second panels are glued in place and dimensional are placed at the corners shown and the corners of the front and back.

Step Six

The ribbon is put in place and then the front and back adhered in place with the dimensionals.

Step Seven

Then the ribbon can be tied...

A few days ago I share a felt bird  ornament based on the Noisy Miner.

However I wasn't too happy with the design - so today I had another go...

Once again I used the Tim Holtz Patchwork Bird die.

Happy Hopping!

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday #602

    WOYWW

It's Wednesday again - so I am linking this post to the Stamping Ground.

It has been a very busy week so not much crafting has been done.

I think I managed to visit about half of you last week -  I will try to visit more this week...

Anyway here's my desk picture for WOYWW 602!
Like Julia I could have shown a table covered in wrapping paper - but I decided to share my easel:

I am in the process of doing an abstract - but this is as far as it has got up to now.

The journal page I showed you the start of last week is awaiting the final touches of mark making, and I haven't taken a photo of it yet.

I am also part through another journal page courtesy of Niamh Baly.

I did manage to finish this one though (I think) - the black cut page flips over the back ground page.

So... it was my husband Kevin's 70th Birthday on Sunday.
It was lovely to get most of the family together for a barbecue. Here we are sitting on the lawn:

And we had put up extra lights round the veranda for the occasion (and Christmas).

My Birthday card for Kevin was a multi panel accordion fold with an Australian theme...

Outlawz Crash your Stash - microbeads

This is my DT make for

Our sponsor this month is Patties Creations

PRIZE: 3 images

www.facebook.com/DigitalImagesbyPattiesCreations

www.etsy.com/shop/pattiescreations

The challenge for this month  starting on December 15th is Microbeads.

You know the ones ... itty bitty teeny weeny "beads" that you adhere to projects with gobs of glue or adhesive tape!

Problem is, I searched high and low for the microbeads I had - and couldn't find them - so I used some of the minibeads that I used on that embroidered pumpkin

The image I used was Kitty Snowman coloured with markers and trimmed to size.

I added him on an orange mat to a white card blank. The sentiment is a die from an Advent Calendar a couple of years ago. The beads are on the carrot nose.
