I just used Serif Craft Artist 2 and combined various papers and elements with some of my photos:

This celebrates the Chinese New Year of The Dog - we had a family banquet!

The year of the dog motif came from the internet and Lion Brand Yarn.

My second layout features photos taken at Domaine Chandon in Victoria, Australia - my daughter and I were enjoying drinking the bubbles...

More fun and a Freebie at Dragons Lair

recently opened an etsy shop.

 The Dragons Lair Fan Group on Facebook continues

and there is a freebie if you ask Nan for it in the January event.

It is an elephant in a frame - here's my card:

I added colour to the frame with a variety of markers. The elephant was printed on grey paper and grey marker and sparkle was added to this.

Dragons Lair Fun and Freebie

Some of you may have been wondering what happened to Dragons Lair Designs -

Due to ill health, Janette had to close her shop and stop all the Challenges...

However she has just reopened an etsy shop

 and there are some last minute Christmas designs there for you...

in the 12 Days of Christmas Event

This is a cute image of a kitty - I have used it to make a layered Christmas card, printing the image twice on white, once on lilac, trimming them and adding to a white card base also layered with lilac.

I added colour with a variety of markers and stamped the sentiment with black Versafine - a stamp from Happy Little Stampers. Finally I added a couple of pearls.

Dragons Lair Fan Group June Challenge - Day 181 of A Year of ATCs?

Make something using this and add it to the album...

 I printed the image ATC sized and coloured it with Zig real brush pens.

I then used Tonic ATC Collection dies and a variety of scraps of card to form my background.

I then added a tree sticker and a wooden fairy embellishment. She was a little large so sticks out from my 2.5 by 3.5 inches base - but I didn't want to hide too much background!!

This is my 181st make for A Year of ATCs?

The ATC consists of a number of layers cut from scraps with dies from the Tonic ATC collection. The image was coloured with Zig real brush pens.

A Year of ATCs? - Day 97

This is my 97th make for A year of ATCs?

Every month in the Dragons Lair Facebook Fan Group there is a colouring Challenge.

This ATC features the April image - a freebie...

I printed it on a green background and then added colour with Chameleon pens.

Having cut this out I added it to brown card - then added some star sequins.

April Challenge in the Dragons Lair

Today a new challenge starts in the Dragons Lair

and the theme is Anything Goes with the Optional Twist of Wedding Day

Interpret this as you will...

I have used the digital couple from the Summer Sunset Range

I printed the image, cut it out with an oval die and then placed it on another oval of damask paper. I added a strip of washi to the card blank and the 'Mr and Mrs' Banner (die cut and stamp from craftstash)



I made a second card to express another sentiment - using stamps from Stampin Up.

A Year of ATCs? - Day 87

This is my 87th make for A year of ATCs?

The background for this ATC uses the 'bleeding tissue' technique, matted on a scrap of black card. This is a very muted background.

I then added Dragons Lair Hoppy Takes Cover coloured with a variety of markers.

Finally I added some tiny butterfly brads.

A Year of ATCs? - Day 86

This is my 86th make for A year of ATCs?
As today is my Dad's 90th Birthday I decided to make a Birthday ATC.

The background for this ATC uses the 'bleeding tissue' technique, matted on a scrap of brown card. I will mention more about 'bleeding tissue' in a post soon...

I then added Dragons Lair Happy Birthday Hiss coloured with a variety of markers.

I cut a number of candles using a Sissix die and coloured the flames with Zig pens.

A Year of ATCs? - Day 85

Remember my 59th make for A year of ATCs?

The theme was geometrics and the ATCs were for a pocket letter swap.

I have just had the swaps back - and I think the result is pretty brilliant!

Today's make is also for a pocket letter swap - this time the theme is "Ripped and Torn"

I made 9 of these - red card then two layers of 'torn' DP from Dragons Lair Designs- then ripped paper from an old book, then torn out words printed on the computer.

I then put them in a pocket sleeve.

I have sent off 8 - and I am now waiting for the swaps...

So that's Day 85 of A Year of ATCs!
