A Little Thank You...

I recently was delighted to be the prize winner in Pixie's Crafty Workshop...

I won a cross stitch die and immediately set about using it...

To make the tag I just used scraps of white and yellow card, stitched the flower and added the ribbon - lovely! I will link this to the Snippets Playground Challenge #333

I decided it was quite nice to add a tag like this to a card blank, in an aperture, with a brad - to make a CAS thank you card...

But before I finish this post - when Di sent the die, she also sent a beautiful card:

Funnily enough my daughter and I had just been playing with alcohol inks - and we were so impressed we decided to 'CASE' Di's card...

The sentiment has been layered on three layers of white card before the coloured version cut from an alcohol ink background. The framed section is on dimensional tape. The dies are all from a Tonic ATC collection set.

Can you see the 'mouse' peeping from the frame?

Thank you Di!

Addicted to Stamps and More #307 - Make your Mark

Here's my Make Your Mark card...for the Challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More
This challenge requires a card using markers or colouring pencils or the like - making your mark...

Recently I went on Copic Markers 1 - in order to hopefully improve my colouring!
The following photos give you an idea of some of what we did...

and my friends from UK Stampers Network who also attended...

One of the examples was to colour this fairy on Kraft:

To make it into a card I added a layer of purple card and placed it on a Kraft base.
Finally I added a pearl bow embellishment.

Hope you will enter the Challenge!

I have already shown you two sets fitting the theme WATER...

The second set used water in the small squares...spritzed Brushos to make a background!

Today I am using backgrounds which also used water...formed by using marbling inks on a bath of water. If you scroll down to the next post you will see photos of my daughter and I making these backgrounds.

Method:
1. Scraps of yellow and green card from my stash to make the bases.
2. Marbled background cut slightly smaller than the bases.
3. Die cut cats in blue or green - Penny Black die.
4. Gem embellishment.
