This is my make for the

Do pop over to the Color Dare Challenge and take a look at my teamies' makes!

This is today's colour scheme -

Using a stamp from Stampin Up's Amazing Silhouettes and a sentiment from Very Versailles, I stamped in colours of Distress Ink to match the colour scheme and the words in black.

I trimmed this and added it to a white card blank, matted with black and silver layers.

Hope you will join the Color Dare Challenge...

Butterfly Challenge #173

The current theme for Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge #173 is W for Window Card

and she gives instructions on how to make one here

This is the wheel - and colours

However - I am in the process of moving house - and I really have not had time to take a look at the instructions. So rather than not join in again I am sharing a simple butterfly card.

I am hoping you can see wheat and wisteria in the background. My daughter and I were playing with some washable markers, smearing them on kitchen foil, spritzing with water and soaking up the result with watercolour paper. We got some lovely results!

Anyway I decided to add this background (distressed around the edges with black soot distress) to a cream card blank matted with the dark 'wheat' colour card.
This was then stamped in black with the butterflies (Stampin Up Amazing Silhouettes) and the sentiment - an old stamp from Little Clare.
Finally I added the gold butterfly stickers.

Happy Crafting!

Creative Warriors Inspiration Team - Term 2 Post #4

This is my next inspiration for the Creative Warriors Inspiration Team 2022 - Term 2!

with Michelle Grant Designs

You will see our inspirational creations on the Facebook Group

Today I am sharing a journal page which uses images from the September Challenge

and Patterns from Pattern 1

I started by adding the pattern pieces with matt medium. I printed them on tissue and ripped them up, adding then in the two opposite corners.

Using a stencil I added Distress Inks in two colours to form a green background. I also added clear embossing powder to some of these areas, so they had an added shine.

I added the pre-coloured cut out face and bird, adding a wash of beige shimmery water colour over the white areas. I stamped various areas with a script stamp.

I used the scrap edges of the image to make centres of fabric flowers which I placed on the top of the head. I added another Distress ink around the edges of these flowers.

Finally I added penwork - the sentiment, scribble and to the whites of the eyes. To emphasise the images I added Stabilo All around the edges.

Then this morning I joined in with the
UK Stampers Network Craft and Chat Zoom.
Patti Dutton was leading a workshop. I still had a printout of Affinity on my desk and I decided to use this in a journal page based on this workshop. Again I used Distress Oxides and stencils and stamps - then a lot of doodling!

I do hope you will go and check it out!

Our sponsor for this month is Oddball Art
With a prize of a $10.00 coupon to the store!

Now on to the challenge!

Our Song/Rhyme this fortnight is my choice

Antigonish [I met a man who wasn't there]

 HUGHES MEARNS

Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away...
When I came home last night at three
The man was waiting there for me
But when I looked around the hall
I couldn't see him there at all!
Go away, go away, don't you come back any more!
Go away, go away, and please don't slam the door... (slam!)
Last night I saw upon the stair
A little man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
Oh, how I wish he'd go away...

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT IF YOU DO NOT TELL US WHAT INSPIRED YOU, YOUR CARD/PROJECT WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE PRIZE DRAW!

I have used the Haunted house image as the poem is about a ghost on the stair and so a haunted house.
I have made a page to add to my Halloween junk journal for this year.

The page opens to show a ghost - also an image from Oddball Arts.

If you haven't already, please join our
to stay up with all the challenges.

Thanks for playing along!
