Butterfly Challenge H is for hinged card

I was delighted to be a winner in the last Butterfly challenge so decided I would try and enter the current one although I am on holiday...

The theme for Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge is a hinged card and she gives instructions on how to make two different versions here

I hope to have a go at these when I get home although I am not sure if I have a square filigree type die. I will also use the tip to use the waxed paper...

Currently I am in Australia - this is my second make just using whatever I have to hand. I have one stamp - Kaisercraft's Flutter - and black Versacolour ink. I used these on my July calendar page, with a touch of colour using a woodless crayon and a strip of washi.

In my card I used the triple stamping technique, stamping across three hexagons cut from parchment. I added colour using a real brush pen.

I have cut two hexagons from card, one with a flap, to make my hinged card. Having stuck these together I then started to embellish it using card from an assorted colour 6 by 6 pad from The Paper Mill and papers from Crate Paper's Bloom.
Looking at the Butterfly wheel, I have tried to use hunter's green and hot pink.

This is the inside:

I added an extra butterfly stamped on the pinkish card and cut out.
Finally I added some stick pins:

I will link this to the Butterfly Challenge

The current Crash your Stash Challenge at Outlawz is to use pins - so i will enter this card there too...

Today's makes use the current freebie which has been drawn by guest designer

Eny Dunn.
I thought I would just make a couple more ATCoins and an ATC to go in my box...

These are today's new makes:

I am actually on holiday in Australia at the moment so have just used anything I had to hand - in my notebook I had these stickers that were from one of the workshops at the recent retreat I went on with UK Stampers Network

The background is Distress Oxides on a self adhesive sheet of paper.
Once the backgrounds were coloured we then passed them around and all participants stamped a favourite sentiment on them until they returned to the beginning.
They were then ready to cut out and be used...

My first ATCoin consists of the sticker plus various rounds of coin - no punches to hand so cut with scissors! The edge of each circle was edged with charcoal Versafine.
I added a bit of zentangling and the gems...

My daughter's printer will not take card - I printed Eny's image on some parchment and then had a go at colouring with woodless crayons.
The sentiment is part of one of the stickers.

For the ATC I used some real brush pens...

Watch out for my next makes using what's to hand!!

Addicted to Stamps and More #347 - Make Your Mark

Here's my Make Your Mark card...for the Challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More
This challenge requires a card using markers or colouring pencils or the like - making your mark...

Once again I am showing you a peek-a-boo card - but this one is one of my samples from a workshop I led at a recent crafty retreat with the UK Stampers Network.

Ike was very kind to let us use Quirky Parrot from Ike's Art as the image - I coloured this with Copics.

My peek-a-boo card is based on tutorial from Splitcoaststampers but I have changed it a little by printing the image and the sentiment first on the cards I used for the card parts.
The papers I have used are made using distress ink in an embossing folder - an ivy design!

This time I just used a craft knife to cut the three windows and a Tonic fuchsia window die to make the three frames - I coloured these with Copics too.

I was very pleased with all the cards made by all the participants in my workshop...

Here is Netty's:

Great Fun!

Hope you will enter the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge! Do hop over to see the fabulous inspiration from my team-mates!

Outlawz Progressive Challenge - June

The June image for the Progressive Freebie Challenge at
is an image called
I have used the image to make a card. The limerick I have used came to mind when my Mum and I were discussing things my grandmother used to say.
This was by Woodrow Wilson and I decided I wanted to use it on something...

Recipe:
1. White card blank.
2. Layer of pink water-colour design paper.
3. Limerick printed from the internet and torn out.
4. I coloured the image with Copics, cut it out and added it next.
5. Finally I added a few pearls.

I will link this on the Outlawz website.

Olive and Eedee the Geek Octopus

For this inspirational make
I have used the image Big Eye Girl Olive with Eedee the Geek Octopus coloured with Copics, trimmed to a rectangle and edged with faux stitching, using a fineliner.

The image was layered on a gingham paper with two strips of Paperchase washi across it.
I started with a square white card blank.

When I was making this card I was inspired by the following colour scheme
which is the current Outlawz Colour Challenge - I will add this to that challenge
