Butterfly Challenge #164 W is for Windmill Style Card Version 1

The current theme for Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge #164 is W is for Windmill Style Card

and she gives instructions on how to make one here

This is Version 1.

This is the wheel - I have used all the colours in the card blank and patterned and sparkly pale purple paper from my stash (it actually looks more pink in the photographs). The patterned papers both include words.

I will link this to Challenge #164

Summer's flurry of green is over

This is my make for the DT team of Outlawz

November 28th - December 11th

Sunday - Songs and Rhymes

For the month of  our sponsor is: Makenna Kroulik

The prize will be the two images used by the team

Note:  The theme doesn’t have to be taken literally.  You may use any word or phrase out of it for your project.

Find inspiration in the song or rhyme:

  Summer's flurry
      Of green is over,
      Apples are ripe,
      Mown is clover.
Colors, ablaze
      On mountains, burn,
      Smolder, and flame
      As the seasons turn.
Harvest moon
      Comes up at dusk,
      Gold as a pumpkin
      Or corn in the husk...

~Harry Behn (1898–1973), "Autumn," The Golden Hive, 1966

I have made a simple card using a kraft card base matted with the printed image trimmed to size. I painted this with shimmery water colours. I added vintage photo Distress Ink around this and faux stitching using a black pen. I did the same around the sentiment (which was from Oddball Art Co)

Hope you will join in the challenge...

My card includes 'Rudolph'!

Every week a prize is given to a randomly chosen winner...

A simple card today...

Recipe:
  1. This started with a black card blank.
  2. I added a layer of gold striped patterned paper (Ultimate crafts - Evening Cocktail) to the front of this. I added vintage photo Distress Ink to the edges of the patterned paper.
  3. I printed the image, twice cutting Rudolph from the second image.

Gecko Galz Monthly Image Challenge

I have just been playing with the freebie image that comes with

the Gecko Galz monthly image challenge

In one of my journals, I  had a 'use-up' page to which I added extra paint.

I then added white gesso through a stencil and scribble round the edges with a pen.

I printed the image twice leaving one whole and fussy cutting the other.

I added vintage photo Distress Ink around the edges.

I then added the doodled and distressed wings. Finally I added the sentiment.

WOYWW

Wednesday again, so I am linking to the Stamping Ground

Follow the link to find out more about What's on Your Work Desk Wednesday and maybe join in... This is my post for WOYWW #651

No pictures from home this week. At the weekend, Sophie and I went to a Champainting session at Melbourne Aquarium. We enjoyed looking around all the exhibits and then painted jellyfish, and were plied with champagne and nibbles.

At Sophie's we also did some water colour painting...

This is what I did with my images:

Finally we have had acceptance of our building permit - and building should start this week...
We were given a gift by the development company!

Look at these beautifully wrapped parcels of craft items that I received from Natalie May
What's inside you ask?

Finally a picture from the Australian Garden which is just next to where we will live...

Hope you are all well - stay safe...

Happy WOYWW !! Hope to call on all of you this week...
