31 Days of Halloween 2026 Day 19

         

During October you will see many Halloween-y projects on my blog.

 This is my 13th year in succession of participating in 31DOH! 

That must be an auspicious number!!

The images are from Conjurer of Dreams Goofy Ghosts both on the page and the tag.

I have another small make to share - an index card using another image from Conjurer of Dreams. This time from Bat Backgrounds altered with texture paste and cotton thread.

 

I usually share a postcard  from Vintage Image Craft. 

This marvelous 1912 postcard, adorned with highly stylized Halloween-themed illustrations, is a true treasure. Notice the hairy chins of the spell-casting witches. WOW!! WOW!! WOW!!

And as always I like to add the skeletons hopping!

My main addition is a fabric badge that has been in my drawer for a couple of years!!

The door opens to show a mummy and BOO!

I made a matching purple tag - this has a 'Sherlock Holmes' image on it.

 Tim Holtz Snarky Cat Halloween.

I usually share a postcard  from Vintage Image Craft. 

The illustration on this fantastic 1920s Halloween postcard invitation make the upcoming Halloween party look both exciting and spooky. Save the date!

This is my Day 17.

I just realised yesterday was the half way mark!!

Here is the next page in my Halloween junk journal. 

This matches yesterday's as a flap opens to show the recipe pictured on the front - Tarantula Truffles.

 I added penwork as on the previous pages. The stamps at the bottom are from Hero Arts Autumn Bounty stamped and painted with water colour.

I added a tag with another recipe displayed on it.

Ghostly Sweet Treats.

Both recipes came from an old UK Dairy Diary which my aunt used to buy me every year.

I have another small make to share - a string of apothecary bottles.

 The stamps on these are from LeighSB Designs. 

I cut these out and distressed them with black soot. I placed neon paper inside the bottles.

In 1911, Kathryn Elliott illustrated this stunning Halloween postcard featuring a beautiful young woman, meticulously hand colored.

It is a bit different from previous ones as a flap opens to show the recipe pictured on the front - Trick or Treat Brownie Graveyard Bars

 I added penwork as on the previous pages. The stamps at the bottom are from Hero Arts Autumn Bounty stamped and painted with water colour.

I added a tag with another recipe displayed on it.

Pumpkin and Cinnamon Custard Tartlets.

Both recipes came from an old UK Dairy Diary which my aunt used to buy me every year.

This used a background paper from crafterschoice Spooky Background Paper Pack

on a kraft card blank, stamped with a spider.

Round the edges I placed parts of a Visible Image sunflower embossed in black and painted in watercolour.
