Each day I am hoping to share 'a dark Valentine' I have made in the past ...

Back in 2014, I made card using 'bleeding heart' images - my inspiration came from the Poe quote...more info can be found back then

"And, straining, fastens on her lips a kiss,
That seemed to suck the life-blood from her heart!"

Edgar Allan Poe

and something I have made for this hop...I am continuing with my postcard flip book.

'My Dark Valentine' is one of Leigh's sentiments - find them here

I have used another of these on the second sleeve, plus the linked hearts from
Whimsical Oddleigh Cherished Heart

I have had to take the following pictures in artificial light - sorry they are dark...

The enclosed postcard has Leigh's Queen of Hearts Grunge Collage

and Leigh's Distressed Splatter Heart

A couple of better photos...

More tomorrow...

Happy Crafting!

  1. LOVE LOVE LOVE EVERYTHING! Thank you for using so many of LeighSBDesigns digis today, I love how you've mixed and matched and made something fabulous! mwah!

  2. Loving your flip book using the grunge queen of hearts and sentiments! x

  3. Hmm... I could swear I commented on this yesterday, but your gorgeous makes certainly deserve a second look. Gorgeous design on your past make and I love how you've used Leigh's Grunge Queen of Hearts. xxD

  4. She is definitely the creepiest Queen of hearts around lol, but oh the Bleeding Hearts....perfection XXX

  5. Where would Valentine be without Poe.

  6. Great use of the bleeding heart images and your flip book is rockin' :-D x

  7. The bleeding hearts really fit in
with the theme. Not often you
find a flower to work so well.
    thanks for sharing.
