Sneaky Peek of a New Collection from Dragons Lair!

On the first of April a new collection will be launched at
and it's absolutely gorgeous!

This is a sneaky peek...

I was lucky enough to have a mini kit to play with -
and this is the first thing I have made with it...

This shape was part of the kit - I printed it and cut it out twice, scored a little tab on the back piece and stuck them together. I punched a whole at the top and tied some ribbon through...
this is the back side.

Using some more of the paper and nesting dies I cut some shapes to palce on the front middle using dimensionals. I added 'Just For You' to the top layer.

Finally using SU's Beautiful Wings and more of the paper I cut some butterflies, tied them together with twine and added them to the front.

From the side...

Do take a look at this collection on April 1st!

Create and Inspire New Challenge

Today another challenge starts at Create and Inspire

Anything Goes!

A little bit dark if you like...

We are being sponsored by Stitchy Bear

The prize will be a voucher from the shop...
do hope you will join in!

So on to my make...

The image I have used is Barbed Cross -
I was thinking Easter and Good Friday!
Here you see the image coloured with Promarkers and matted onto a simple black card base...

However I didn't stop there - I attached the image to a fat page - a 6 by 6 chipboard.

The chipboard was matted with black card and then layered with DP from Dovecraft 'Back to Basics'.

I added some diecut leaves and flowers, a lace flower and some black gems and completed the reverse side to match...

So far so good? I could finish there...

But I wanted to go a little further...

Remember that basic card I started with - that I added to side one?
Well it opens to reveal a diecut pocket -

And what better to slip in there but an ATC...

This ATC uses a Smeared Ink Grumpy Bunny from Occasions coloured with Promarkers.
More papers from Back to Basic and some puffy sparkly candi.

I am going to link this to Smudgy Antics Challenge March

And then I decided the reverse side needed a slider using Grumpy Bunny from SLSLines again coloured with Promarkers. Easter is written using some stickers from my stash.

I will link this project to Artistic Impressions twist Easter

Another Trio of ATCs

ATCs seem to be my thing this week!

When I first started paper crafting I had not discovered digis - it was all rubber stamps!
And I still really like getting inky!

I love the Kitchen Sink Multi Step stamps and today I have been using
Bluebonnets.

'Bluebonnets' is a mini set so the images lend themselves to ATCs.
I trimmed them and matted them onto small rectangles of card.

To start my ATCs I cut 2.5 by 3.5 inch rectangles of patterned paper - to contrast with the white space around the Bluebonnets...all just from my scraps - this is the good thing about ATCs - very good way of using scraps!

I added the images and then some gems.

Finally using SU's Beautiful Wings (a real favourite) I diecut some butterflies out of the same or toning patterned papers to add along the side.

I am going to link this set to the Butterfly Challenge

Free Stamp from Little Claire

Steve from Little Claire will be 50 on Saturday and to celebrate they are having a special online offer for the day. As Steve keeps saying he's only 25, there will be a 25% discount on any online purchases during Saturday 28 March (that means 35% for Club members) when the discount code 'steve50' is entered at the checkout. Anyone who takes up the offer will also receive a free stamp from
 Little Claire ...

I love Little Claire Stamps - one of the first ones I bought was

Then I made this easel card...

...but today I have used it for this tag -

The background - I made this - it's wrinkle free distress with distressed edges, using lots of TH inks.

I matted this onto some black card and overstamped with the Little Claire stamps.

Finally I added a ribbon...

ATCs using Inchies #1

This is a post to be continued as I want to make 5 ATCs using Inchies for
this month's

This is my first -

I cut a 2.5 by 3.5 inch rectangle and three inch squares from dark green card and then a smaller rectangle from green web embossed paper.
Using Versafine I stamped two Eek's and two spiders - the eek is Stampin Up and my favourite spider is the Viva Las Vegas Spider
I used a black fineliner to add extra lines and added a cat embellishment...
I will link this to
Addicted to Stamps AG

This is my second one -

The colour has really washed out in this photo - the base card and the card on which the digi
(Bugaboo Silhouette butterfly flowers)
is printed are both pale turqoise.
I cut the image into 6 one inch squares and attched them on top of some webby ribbon.

I will link this to Wicked Wednesday Challenge #150 - Spring is in the air
