but things are have started rolling again.
There is a Junk Journal July Challenge going on...
I have now completed Week 2 using images from Confidence in some cases.
Day 1
This background is stencilled with brickwork and leaves. I added the various images from Confidence with some of them opening to show flowers. I added penwork to the background leaves.
I used another page in my whimsical journal, this time using a paper that reminded me of a treetop. The first layers are paint then leaves using my Gelli Plate and a stencil. I added penwork. I then added fussy cut leaves and words from Confidence. The end flips out. This has leaves cut from a Gelli plate pull. I added penwork and more fussy cut leaves. Finally I added the sentiment.
Day 3
The prompts today include Paint Pens, Light Bulb, Pop Art. I was inspired to make this pagein my loose leaf journal. I mainly used the suggested colour scheme but I had to add the pink/purple hair. The idea came from looking at pop art online. I used the image and light bulbs from Confidence. The sentiment is from Reconnecting.
For my fourth page I used another page in my looseleaf journal.
I again used the image from 'Confidence', this time pre-coloured. I painted the surrounds with watercolour. I placed this behind vellum and a window (coloured with pastel) from a set by Michelle Grant called 'Girl Next Door'Day 5
I was hoping to get Week 2 finished by the end of the month but I still have one more page to do. So much for thinking things would get back to normal after the school holidays! Anyway this is Day 5 of Week 2. The prompts were writing, shadow, bold, reflective and 'The hidden parts of my creativity'. The background includes my handwriting, script stamps in two sizes, script stencils and collage paper. I used an image and sentiment from 'Confidence', a Gelli pull image of leaves, fussy cut. I then used pens and markers to emphasise the images and make a 'shadow'
The prompt that stood out was 'ladder' and it made me think of 'snakes and ladders'. I divided my journal page into squares to represent a corner of a board. I added touches of stencilling to each square. I painted a snake but the other images and sentiments came from 'Confidence'.
Happy Crafting!
