Today Crafty Hazelnut brings a new weekly Christmas Challenge

with the theme "make your own background"

I started with a red card blank matted with green, then my Gelli pull background - acrylic paints plus a junk stamp to make circles.

I then added the images from Geck Galz, cut out and matted on green.

Too Cute to Spook

So let's celebrate Halloween!! 

As usual I will add daily retro Halloween postcards from Vintage Image Craft.

Today I have something different to share - this is part one - I was inspired by something my friends in the UK were making at their retreat. This was an altered book.

First I painted the jacket black and added some embellishments - violet metallic texture paint through a stencil.

I added a leather strap with a gothic brooch.

The cat is a 3D glass like embellishment (from KrystalKraft) which I coloured and added glitter to.

I added the spiders and the ribbon (from my stash)

And as always I like to add the skeletons hopping!

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #520

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge DT

This is today's colour scheme -

 

I used scraps from my stash to find the colours of card in this colour board.

The card blank is gold, matted with pine and candy apple card. I added strips of pine and then the image, stamped and coloured with markers in pine, candy apple and neutrals.

I added Meow in American Crafts stickers.

The cat is a Kate Crane stamp "Little Cooky Cat" from Carabelle studio.

2022 Cat Lovers Hop - Day 27 of 31 Days of Halloween (LeighSB Designs Hop) - Countdown to Halloween

 I am joining in with the 2022 Cat lovers hop

Today I will add my fourth make for the Cat Lovers Hop.

But before I do that I thought I would just share the ATCs I made to replace those lost in the post...they looked like this:

My replacements looked like this, using a mushroom die (unbranded) 

and a cat die (Stampin Up).

Also like last year, I thought I would share some more vintage Halloween

postcards from Vintage Image Craft, choosing one with cats.

My new make is another page in my Halloween album:

Again I used some scraps from the Francheville Halloween stack cover on top of a Stampin Up paper. The sentiments came from Gecko Galz and the cat and pumpkin are old Vera Lane images, coloured with markers.

I will add this to the main hop post.
