Day 28 of 31 Days of Halloween (LeighSB Designs Hop) - Countdown to Halloween

So let's celebrate Halloween!! 

As usual I will add daily retro Halloween postcards from Vintage Image Craft.




Today I have something different to share - this is part one - I was inspired by something my friends in the UK were making at their retreat. This was an altered book.


First I painted the jacket black and added some embellishments - violet metallic texture paint through a stencil.
I added a leather strap with a gothic brooch.


The cat is a 3D glass like embellishment (from KrystalKraft) which I coloured and added glitter to.
I added the spiders and the ribbon (from my stash)

And as always I like to add the skeletons hopping!

    Magnificent altered book, Susan! I really do hate spiders and just looking at the ones you put on the book cover makes my skin crawl. Yikes!
