Gecko Galz Steampunk Challenge

  

This is my make for the Gecko Galz

MONTHLY Steampunk Challenge

with a freebie image.  

I am participating in ICAD 2024 producing an index card each day during June and July.

Today's prompt is 'steampunk'.

I started with a blue index card, brayered it with gesso then paint. I used a baby wipe to wipe off paint through a stencil (Scrapbookingncraft). I used a Posca pen to emphasis the cogs when this had dried.

I added the image from Gecko Galz - printed twice and trimmed. I added the second hat on dimensionals.

I added several metal embellishments.

I  distressed the edges with vintage photo distress ink.

I received another lovely 15th Anniversary card and ATC... from Julia

Here is my work table today:

On my desk easel is my journal page that is today's featured page.

In the foreground I am sticking some rubber stamps to EZ mount. I won the packet of job lot stamps in a cat lovers hop ages ago and am just making them useable and seeing what they are...

I finished off week three (keeping to the theme of Typography) of the ICADS:

This vintage postcard was an image from Vintage Image Crafts in Facebook.

The crystal image is an advertising picture from Crystal World that we went to the other day. It has many crystals, fossils and dinosaurs!

I then started on week 4 and decided to try and keep with the theme.

These are the ones I have made so far:

I used a received commercial greetings card to collage these tulips.

The background is acrylic paint - lime green then ocean through a Paper Rose stencil.

This used Rabbit Hole and Tonic stamps on coffee stained paper.

This ICAD uses a fold that I recently used on a birthday card:

I now have to do strawberry...

Addicted to Stamps and More #471 Make Your Mark

 

This is my Make Your Mark project...for the Challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More

I used a cream card blank to start adding a mat of teal card. I then added two patterned paper banners and a pixel art duck that I coloured with markers on a square grid and die cut to a circle. I added faux stitching with a fineliner on all edges. Finally I added the pearls and sentiment diecut.

Later I also added these images to ICAD #32

Creative Warriors Inspiration Team - New Term #4

Today I have used an image from Colour Me Crazy Collab pack

I have been having trouble with my printer - so I had to find an image in my MG folder and this image of the girl in hat turned up. I trimmed this with a circular die...

But first I made the background. My little grandson loves bubbles and this was my inspiration.

I used a brayer to add gesso and paints and then wiped away the circles using a baby wipe.

When dry I added black and white posca penwork and splatters of white.

I then added the image along with sentiment and Images from Michelle's Full Circle paper pad from Bee Arty. I cut these in circles and added vintage photo distress.

Our Song/Rhyme this fortnight is chosen by Lorie

I was inspired by the idea of my country... This is a simple mixed media card using an embossed background with the colour of the eucalypts. I added a foliage tag and the bird image - a sticker from a parcel from Bridget Farmer. I added a brown doiley.

Color Dare Challenge #606

This picture shows my make for the

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge DT

Do pop over to the Color Dare Challenge and take a look at my teamies' makes.

This picture shows the challenge - 

I started with white card to make a trifold. I die cut the main die from the centre of this. I then added the background behind this - a splattered ink page - with die cut jelly fish attached.

In reality, the ink colours match the challenge colours plus neutrals.
