Blue Moon Creation DT Valentine Card #4

Hi, Susan here!

February is my Valentine month!

My husband and I got married on February 14th 1976 - so this year will be our 39th Anniversary.

This year I have made 4 Valentine cards for Blue Moon Creation

and I am showing you the fourth today!

My 4 cards are all based on the same fold - a heart Flip-it Card.

I have a Sissix die to cut this, using my Big Shot, but it can also be made by hand. Here is my rough guide:

I cut several card blanks:

This card uses the bunny from Blue Moon Creation

LOC Challenge #67

For this new Challenge over at LOC
we are sponsored by Sami Stamps

and I got to use the Fairy Mushroom Collection!

I printed several mushrooms in different sizes and coloured them with Promarkers.

I then started on the stepper card where I was going to put them...
I covered a basic card shape with embossed spider web paper!
Lovely texture!!
I was fortunate enough to buy a pack of this paper in different colours when I was living in India.
Today I chose yellow...

I am having awful trouble with my photography - this is the same card from above!!

I then started arranging my mushrooms - having added a few spiders using my favourite Viva Las Vegas Spider stamp...
This front on:

Trying to give you an idea of the dimension...

These are the two sides...

And from above...

Hope you like it and will join our challenge!!

I WAS DELIGHTED to have my card featured on the Sami Stamps Facebook Group

Two quick sketches

Well - We have just got a new printer so I wanted to try it out!

I decided to print a paper - From Kris B at Imagine that from Impossible Hearts

I then used this to make a quick card - I am still on Valentine-y ones - it still is February!!

The sketch I used is from Freshly Made Sketches

I tied a bow around my piece of DP - slid it towards the bottom and then slipped the heart behind.
The heart features Lingerie Lindsay from Sassy Studio Designs

I coloured her with Promarkers, used a nesting die to cut her out and distressed the edges
 with TH Worn Lipstick.

I will link this to Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

As I said I was trying out my Printer - so next I printed the pre-coloured
Love this image!!

This time I used a sketch from Cas(E) this Sketch

I used additional papers from Joy! crafts Under the Sea paper bloc and a bit of bling!!

I will link this to Cas(E) this Sketch

A Step in the Dark - New Challenge

Today another Anything Goes (Dark or Not) Challenge starts at A Step in the Darkness

Here is my DT Make:

My image is a garden gate so this is a gate fold card - tied up with a gauzy ribbon...the second picture shows it standing in a not quite finished version...

I started with a strip of card from a plain 12 by 12 and scored and folded it at 2,4,8 and 10 inches.

I then  added DP from my stash trimmed to size, with corners internally rounded and distressed with shabby shutters.

I was lucky enough to use the Garden Gate from Wilmer Art.

This came as a pre-coloured and a line version - I used both,

This is the pre-coloured version for the front.

I  coloured the second image in only greys and added a spider and web!!
I drew the web myself but the spider is one of my favourite Viva Las Vegas Stamps!

My card looked like this after adding these two sections:

You may have noticed the SU Eek stamp...I decided to stamp this and add it to a spring...

So now we have this:

To finish off I added 3 more spiders and lines of web on the final panel

'Laid out the card now looks like this - the spiders are all hidden when the card is tied up!

Do hop over to ASITD!

Imagine That! Progressive Challenge

I am a bit late this month with the Imagine That! DOTM Challenge
but have just managed to get something made with the digi - free because I entered last month!!

This week I have been making gate fold cards - in fact this sort of fold was one of the first I used for the Imagine That! Progressive Challenge - back in March 2013!

Taking a strip of card from a 12 by 12 I scored and folded at 2in, 4in, 8in and 10in.

I then matted each section with DP paper from my stash - cut into rectangles with corners rounded and edge distressed with TH Stormy Sky.

I printed the image pre-coloured, cut it out with a nesting die and also distressed this with Stormy Sky.
I did the same with the sentiments.

I then assembled as follows, placing some ribbon under the image:

Tied up it look like this:

and standing - like this:

I will link this to  Imagine That! DOTM Challenge
and look forward to the March image!
I will also link it to Through the Craft Room Door

Kris from Imagine that! very kindly gave me another freebie and
I chose a second set from the Valentine range - Impossible hearts

Continuing with my current blue theme I made a little ATC:

I printed the image (small) twice and coloured them with Spectrum Noir Blues.
I trimmed the first to size and distressed the edges with TH Stormy Sky, then attached it to the base - a scrap of blue card..
I used a craft knife to cut out the second pair of hearts and attached them with dimensionals.
I also added You and Me as shown

I will link this to Imagine That! Use any Digi Challenge

Wicked Wednesday ATC

This week's challenge at Wicked Wednesday

and carrying on with my Blue theme - see my last post!
this is what I came up with...

I started with a rectangle of lovely blue and red sparkle card that I found in my stash.
I then used stamps from SU's Summer splash...

I have stamped the fish several times using masks to stamp one over the other.
I then added colour using Spectrum Noir Blues.

I then added the octopus on dimensionals and added Best Fishes (printed on the computer).
