Dragons Lair Designs - More than Two Folds

The March Challenge starts at Dragons Lair today - More than two Folds!

I have another calendar page for you...

Each of my pages starts with a 12 by 17cm piece of pale green Bristol card.

I started with 6 pieces, hole punched and fastened together with rings at the top edge.

This is the third page I am showing you - you may remember January and February...

Anyway for March I started with paper from Aged Journal

The March theme is 'More than Two folds' - this paper already has two folds on it - but I decided to do teabag folding to demonstrate more...and also team up (?) with the lovely Floral Teaset.

I made two medallions - for each I started with 8 squares (2 inches by 2 inches)
cut from more of the paper.
These pictures were taken on my worktable so are not very bright...

Each square is folded with a middle fold and two diagonals.

The sides are pushed in to make a two triangles.

Using the top triangle the two points are folded in to make a square on top.

Then each piece is tucked in to make the medallion. I used a glue gun to hold them in place.

You can see a tutorial on You Tube of how to fold this medallian here

I coloured the Floral Tea Set with Priomarkers, added the calendar page (with a little distressing) and trimmed one of the medallions to fit.
Finally, a little gold bling and ribbon...

Happy Crafting and see you at Dragons Lair!
