This is my make for Day 2...

You may know that I recently moved to Australia,
got a new phone, new computer and bought a Cricut machine.

However, as like the rest of the world, we are now virtually tied to the house - our daughter's place, as our househunting is on hold. Our shipping is currently somewhere off China...

So I am spending time gradually working out how all this new technology works...in particular the Cricut is proving great fun!

Today's card is rather an experiment. I decided to find out what would happen if I tried to cut Leigh's Distressed Splatter Heart on the machine.
I was aiming to make a Spring themed card using a pretty floral paper - or a Birthday card - but this is how it turned out:

White card base, layer of black, Layer of paper and sentiment from Kaisercraft Full Bloom paper pack. I had intended using Happy Birthday but this sentiment seemed more appropriate. The heart and splatter are cut from another page from this paper pack.

Encouraged by my daughter, I next had a go at using Leigh's splat with a different shape inside. This time I used a page from Francheville Summer Life paper Stack.

A white card blank, a layer of yellow then green then the cuts... I used a Tim Holtz die set to cut lucky and its background from the same papers.

Watch out for some more makes in the current month...

Hope to see you on Leigh's Birthday hop

Happy Crafting and Happy Birthday Leigh!
