CHNC challenge 627 for 31 December 2022 - any Christmas or New Year creation

 A new Christmas Challenge every Saturday!

Today Crafty Hazelnut brings a new weekly Christmas Challenge

with the theme "any Christmas or New Year Creation"

Do pop over and see the fabulous inspiration from my teamies!

 I used red card blanks to make two similar cards. These were matted with some festive paper from my stash. I then added a dylusions dy-cut coloured with markers. Finally I added the sentiment strip, cut from a DCWV Merry Merry paper pad and distressed with mowed lawn distress ink.

Anyway here's my worktable:

I have been MIA for the last three weeks - mainly because my sister and brother-in-law came to stay at the beginning of December. Kevin came home from Egypt on the 17th and then other visitors arrived on the 18th - so the week leading up to Christmas we had 11 or 12 staying in the house. Consequently my craft room became a bedroom - I have just put the table back up again and started making a junk journal.

This was Christmas Day when we were up to 17...

Of course we have the kangaroo and koala too...

I have managed to keep up with the temperature blanket. Yesterday we reached 42 degrees so I added 'claret' - the first time this year we have been over 38!

I also made a crochet-ed kitchen towel...

By the way I am still hotspotting, as we still have no internet connection to the house. 

(No comment!)

This was a set of very quick and easy cards - I used red card blanks matted with sections of an Australian 12 by 12 patterned paper which I picked up from a craft market last weekend.

This is today's colour scheme -

 

This is the last of the gnomes I had on my desk.

This card is based on an idea from Hillbilly Scrappin'.

I used a white card base matted with a paper from Echo Park Gnome for Christmas.

I then added a strip formed by another couple of papers from the same paper pad.

I added the  gnome from Scrapbookingncraft and sentiments from Echo Park ephemera.

Finally I added the red nose.

 I started with a green card blank.

I then added the images from Gecko Galz which I had painted with shimmery watercolours and trimmed to size. The sentiment was part of the image.

Beccy's Place December Challenge

I am still making the odd Christmas card so that I have some in stock 

and I found Beccy's Place: December Challenge with a cute freebie!

The challenge is a bingo one - I used a Z card fold, the Digital stamps and die cuts... and made this quick card:

I painted the image with shimmery water colours, adding glitter glue to the hat.

I used some paper from my stash and die cut a few snowflakes...

I will add this to the challenge

I decided to use buttons!

I painted the image with shimmery water colours.

I layered a white card blank with black card, a paper from a Born. Craft and Create paper pad, a piece of black card die cut with a scalloped circle and the image.

Then I added the buttons.
