Tiny Pieces of Art in March

  At the beginning of the year I started a year long challenge courtesy of Linda Pearson on Facebook

I decided to use index cards as I had a little booklet of these in my stash. 

I like this format as I have been doing the Index Card a Day Challenge during June and July for some years now.

This is how far I have got so far:

Week 1

Layer one - Gelli pull.

Flower stamps -Tracy Scott -TS058

Gold and black pens.

Butterfly die cuts.

Week 2

Collage using images from 'Collage Soup'

Week 3

Gelli plate background.

Hand drawn leaves with water colour.

Stickers.

Black and white splatters.

Week 4

Distress ink, stencils. Wrapped thread.

Embossed stamps - The Emporium.

Conjurer of Dreams March makes

         

I am sharing my makes for the Conjuror of Dreams DT.

The optional month's challenge is Mystical Animals

First a glimpse of one of my makes: a Lunar New Year Fan... I was shown the idea of the fan construction in a swap group I am a member of Junk Journal Creative Swaps in OZ

It can be used as a pocket in a junk journal by just gluing two sides down and also as tucks in each blade.

This used an image from Horse Character Digital Download to recognise the year of the Horse.

Next I have a journal page using images from Unicorn Fantasy Art Prints and Mystical Forest

And a pull out card using an image from Rising Phoenix

I was Gelli printing...

I used one piece as the background for my next page in my tiny pieces of art: This month the theme is Creepy Crawlies and this week Beetles. This time I have used hand drawn and water coloured leaves, stickers and splatter

I have also been making some ephemera for a junk journal. This little folio has a middle pocket for some journalling cards. The one you can see features a freebie image from Gecko Galz last month - it was on my desk but I didn't get around to using it!!

On Sunday I did a live for a junk journaling group I belong to. I made another of those notepad folios. Here are some stills from my live:

Also at the weekend we went to a church ukulele gathering where Kevin was playing. He won the raffle - a lager phone. Here is Ollie testing it out.

In the background you can see I had just brought in some toilet rolls. It seems that they might be in short supply as well as the exorbitant petrol...

Color Dare #696

 

   This picture shows my make for the

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge DT

I have tried to use every colour in the challenge.

My card comprises a white card blank matted with green then two halves of embossed yellow paper and a patterned paper. yellow then an orange paper. I then added the fussy cut rabbit (Creative Fabrica) . Finally I added the sentiment (Stampin Up) stamped on white and also on a green mat.

MONTHLY ATC Challenge

with a freebie image set. 

The theme this month is Sea Horse Ride.

I used the ATC backs on scraps of blue card and then the images and sentiment. 

These ATCs contain just the items on the freebie sheet - apart from my black fine liner.

The next one is my favourite.

On my desk from today - some recent happy mail - a pocket letter which was a swap - my ATC is the top left, the lovely card and ATC I received from a Visible Image swap, a stamp set I had to buy...

You might be able to see a couple of St Patrick's Day ATCs

In the middle at the front is an example of some note pad folders I have been making

The front shows that I have been using Art by Marlene papers to decorate.

 The back has a pocket for envelopes.

Inside is a notepad (picked up in a charity shop) amd pockets for stamps and a bookmark.

I did the next page in my tiny pieces of art: This month the theme is Creepy Crawlies and this week Bees. This time I have used collage and dimension using images from "Collage Soup".
