Tiny Pieces of Art in February

  At the beginning of the year I started a year long challenge courtesy of Linda Pearson on Facebook

I decided to use index cards as I had a little booklet of these in my stash. 

I like this format as I have been doing the Index Card a Day Challenge during June and July for some years now.

This is how far I have got so far:

Week 1

Cuttlebug embossing folder - Heart Blocks. Stamps - Collage Soup -drink, drank, drunk.

Roses - Mr Paper - The Rose Poetry.

Chocolate - collage book.

Dangle using various charms.

Week 2

First layer - Gelli pull.

Daphne's Diary heart.

Hand writing. 

Ghost stamping - Stampin Up - Valentine Defined.

Embellishments.

Week 3

Image from Gecko Galz.

Washi tape, lace. Strip of paper - Kaisercraft.

Week 4

Die cuts, tags, cutouts. Candy papers, Stickers, Heart shaped brads.

Here is my workdesk:

Again my desk is not ready for use - more of a dumping ground!! At the front you can see some new items - a tag die and various art foamies - stamps I will use on my gel plates.

I had a quick go with the tag die ...

This used an image from Conjurer of Dreams printed multiple times.

On the desk easel there is a journal page I made with the UKSN Zoom Craft and Chat on Thursday.

This is my week 9 of my Tiny Pieces of Art Year long challenge:

 The theme this month  is Still My Beating Heart.

The theme for this one is Candy Crushes and items to use were layered elements, Die Cuts, Tags, Cutouts.

My tags swing out from the base.

I have made this tag for the tag challenge using the free image. I printed this several times to make a handful of small tags. I then placed these in a slot tag - this is a Matty's Crafting Joy die. I added a few stickers to the base.

So far I have made these cards for this this month - both involved decoupage.

Color Dare #692

   This picture shows my make for the

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge DT

This picture shows the challenge -

My card comprises a green card blank matted with a yellow then an orange paper. I then added the die cut flowers with quilled leaves on a white layer. Finally I added the sentiment (Stampin Up) also on an orange mat.

Here is my workdesk:

I am trying to get this typed up quickly before I set off for Aquarobics. We have just dropped Ollie off...

On my desk you will see some dimensional dot paints - - I was using them to add bright dots to the collage above.

You will also see some tubs of very fine glitter - I don't usually 'do' glitter but this was to make a card for a swap. I followed Sam Calcott's video here

This is my week 8 of my Tiny Pieces of Art Year long challenge:

 The theme this month  is Still My Beating Heart.

The theme for this one is Love birds and items to use were washi tape and paper strips - I placed these as the background. I added extra lace, an image from Gecko Galz and a paper strip from Kaisercraft.

Another thing I made for a swap this week and which I also posted on the Gecko Galz Facebook Group - it used GG Alice images - is this little piece of fold out ephemera...

If you look through my February posts you will see lots of Valentines and hearts. Valentine's Day is a special day in our household as it is our wedding anniversary. And this year it was 50 years...here we are enjoying a cup of tea at our daughter's (and testing one of her cucumbers) on Saturday afternoon. 

This was after we had been to a Garden Centre - we wanted to buy some special plants to mark our anniversary. There I saw this marvellous display to mark the Chinese New Year...
