Just popping in to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year! 

(To amuse some of you 2025 is 45 squared)

No desk to show you as we arrived at the holiday house on Saturday and although I have done a bit of crafting I didn't take a picture in progress. I did the journal page in the featured post...

And I have made a couple of mini albums - I will share these in the New Year!

This was a little make in a Christmas cracker which I cut out:

The holiday house has a huge pirate statue in the corridor so we decided to make that into the Christmas 🎄 

But we did bring some festive bits which we managed to put up:

At this stage it is 9 pm so we are recovering from a day of sun and a large lunch - BBQ, oysters, prawns, salads and vegetables. All eaten outside...

And just a cheese platter...

I have made this whilst staying at a holiday house for Christmas so this page has been made using the few things I brought with me:

  a page from my Art by Marlene 'perfect size' journal,

3 colours of distress oxides and blending brushes,

A stencil,

Black soot Distress,

3 wallpapers from my MGD drawer,

A commercial Christmas card from last year.

Layer 1

Background using distress oxides, blending brushes and stencil. Black soot distress ink around the edges.

Layer 2

Trees made from strips of Designer paper, black soot around the edges and to shadow.

These hide journalling spaces. They could flip up but I chose to stick them down.

Layer 3

Stars and letters from the old Christmas card.

Gecko Galz Monthly Christmas Challenge

Just a quick post as we are now at a holiday house for Christmas - and I forgot to blog this card.

This card was made with one of the freebie images from Gecko Galz ... From the

MONTHLY Christmas Challenge

I used a beige card blank, a mat of pink then holographic paper followed by the image and lots of pearls. The sentiment came from my Art by Marlene advent calendar.

I looked through my stash for as many blue papers I could find and some silver. I started with a white card blank and I coloured the image in blue markers.

WOYWW#811

Here is my desk:

On my pink score board you can see two mini albums and a couple of ATCs in progress.

Toward the back on the brown box is a new pot of Dr PH Martin's bleed proof white - ready for splattering.

In the centre is an old Christmas card that my aunt sent me three or four years ago - sadly she passed away this year, but the card is a lovely keepsake.

So we did three days of helping Sophie move into her new house - then we have had Ollie over night. I have just driven him home, then picked up Kevin who had a ukulele concert. All go and still not a lot of crafting going on!

On Saturday we go away for Christmas week...we have hired a holiday house for some of us to stay in, so we should be having lots of family time. Not sure if I will be posting next week at this stage! Wishing you all a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

My junk journal: the pages in this are 6 by 6 pieces of glitter paper taped together. You can see some of the tape in the folds and on some of the pages.

In the pockets of the junk journal you will notice the tags and also postcards:
