Tiny Pieces of Art in May

  At the beginning of the year I started a year long challenge courtesy of Linda Pearson on Facebook

I decided to use index cards as I had a little booklet of these in my stash. 

I like this format as I have been doing the Index Card a Day Challenge during June and July for some years now.

This is how far I have got so far:

So far I have made

Week 1

Leaves painted with water colour. Black fineliner. Background paper from my stash.

Leaf embellishment.

Week 2

Background is a paper from my stash.

Flowers stamped and added alcohol ink and water colour.

Charms.

Week 3

Conjurer of Dreams image. Decoupaged. Added glossy accents.

Week 4

Background - paper from my stash. Embossed with Stampin Up stamp.

Mushrooms cut from alcohol ink background.

Found item - leaf with twigs.

Color Dare #706

 

   This picture shows my make for the

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge DT

I used both colours plus lilac and white.

I started with a white card blank matted with the first colour.

I then added shapes cut from cards of the other colours that have been embossed with an embossing folder.

Finally I added die cut sentiment.

Conjurer of Dreams May Challenges

           

I am sharing more of my make for the Conjuror of Dreams DT.

The optional month's challenge is Pool Party:

I made some journal pages:

I recently took part in a Niamh Baly workshop where she used waterfall pages in a journal:

I thought this idea would be perfect for my pool party pages!

I started by preparing my backgrounds:

I used an image from Water ripples as collage paper on top of Dylusions Calipso Teal paint.

I then added Matisse fluid Titanium White paint through an Art by Marlene stencil - ATC-tinies. Finally I added edges and emphasis with white Poscas and shadow with a soft pencil.

I then started adding images and sentiments (These were random finds on my desk or drawn by me)
The first page uses the image from the challenge logo.

The next image is from Retro Swamp Monster

Next we have Rats its a pool party

I couldn't not have the Super Heroes as these are my 4 year old grandson's favourite characters at the moment.

Finally I have the Seniors Pool Party. This reminds me of my friends and I at Aqua Aerobics...

I had great fun making these pages!!

Not a lot to share today - and then I forgot it was Wednesday so I am sharing very late - this comes with being distracted looking after Ollie. He was picked up and then I have no idea what I did!!

I am sharing my next few Tiny pieces of Art - the theme for May is Autumn. Of course we in Australia are heading in to winter!

Of course my next long challenge will be ICAD so these will be a similar format...

Not sure what I will be doing craftwise in the next couple of weeks as we are away both weekends.

Lovely to see all your blogs on WOYWW... I did manage to get round to everyone last week !

Addicted to Stamps and more # 518 Birthday

 

  

Here's my Birthday project...for the Challenge #518 at Addicted to Stamps and More

I started with a white card blank matted with dark blue.

To this I added layers of yellow papers, the final piece die cut.

I then added the greeting die cut and some faux stitching with a fineliner.

What can you see on my work desk that's different?

Well there are a few stamped images, a couple of new stamp sets on the right - and one from Temu on the left!

I was intending sharing my next Tiny pieces of Art but I have yet to photograph any May pieces.

This week I thought I would get my sewing machine out as I had a couple of things in mind. However it was being a pain so I managed some junk journal sewn pockets 

and then took to my hand...this is also to add to a junk journal using old jeans pockets to make pockets.

I received an ATC swap today the theme was steampunk chic.

This was mine:

This is my card:

I used a white card blank followed by a piece of designer paper from my stash then a green rectangle.

I then added the image from Vintage Image Craft

Finally I added some paper flowers.
