Our Song/Rhyme this fortnight is from Deanne

The poem inspired me to make a pair of Valentines...

I have used stamps from Bee Arty.

The card is made using beige card blank.

I used Distress Oxides to add colour to the background and then stamped the images with black Archival. I then used pencils to colour the hearts and flowers.

Today I have made a card using this paper, using it as a matting paper but also to provide the focal image.

I used a Kokorosa die to form the fold. I printed the sentiment on the computer.

WOYWW #817

Having seen Mary Anne's posts last week, I was inspired to make several meander books - I have already shared the one below and you will see it in the featured post above. This was made using a shopping bag, the ones on my desk from a 12 by 12 and a piece of A4.

We had a good trip camping except that I tripped on a groundsheet and fell damaging my ring finger. I didn't think anything of it until it had swelled up like a balloon and I couldn't remove the ring. I ended up in A & E and had my ring cut off (a ring I have had for nearly 49 years!). The finger felt much better as soon as the ring was removed.

The rest of the trip was good!

We came home on Sunday as it was going to be 41 degrees on Monday. We ended up going to the cinema and saw the film about Bob Dylan.

Addicted to Stamps and More - Die Cuts/stencils #485

 

This is my Die cut/Stencil project...for Challenge #485 at Addicted to Stamps and More

My card used a dark green card blank matted with papers from a Pretty Pastels Creations paper pad. I then added several strips of paper in a lattice using scraps. Finally I added the sentiment diecut.

I have just come back from a few days away camping near the ocean. On arrival back I found my BeeArty box waiting containing Michelle's latest design Ocean Vibes.

I thought it was appropriate to make a little mini book using this and to add a few photos later...today I am giving you a taste!

I also saw Mary Anne on WOYWW mention meander books using paper bags and as I had this to hand, I decided to make one...

When opened out my paper bag became 10.5 inches by 23 inches.

I folded this into 3 columns 3.5 inches wide by 4 rows 5.75 inches wide.

Having cut down three sections on the first column and up three sections on the second I folded and glued to make the book. 

I then added paper and sentiments:

I have used the three colours on the left starting with a beige card blank matted with a designer paper, a green paper and a piece of doiley.

I have used stamps from Stampin Up's Tea Shoppe and a fineliner to add faux stitching.

Happy Birthday Edgar Allen Poe!

As I am once again away on holiday for a few days, joining in might be a little difficult but I will see what I can do.

Last year we were on Rottnest Island and had no chance - at least this year we have WiFi.

The mini album comprises 4 pages each with a pocket. This is my complete book.

The pages are embellished with yellow card and pages from 

Leigh's Poe Grunge Digi paper pack and some IndigoBlu stamps.

Pages two and three have the addition of  Raven Tree Slimline Silhouette  printed on vellum.

The back of the book has Poe Puss on it as a belly band.

These are the ATCs under the band.

I printed the quotes, all about time, on the computer. The backgrounds are Gecko Galz.
